Today I was listening to the XM Stern channel that plays old stuff, and they had a segment from 2014 with Hannibal Buress. They were talking about how Hannibal took a lot of criticism for calling Bill Cosby a rapist during a bit, and Cosby had been accused of a lot of things but it had never gone beyond that. Then Buress went on to talk about flying around with Louie CK on his private jet and what a great guy he was. It was a like discussion of the who's who of sex offenders but they didn't know it at the time.

the interviews are pretty safe for 13+ i'd say. but just this week they had Anal or Oscars game, and i'd hate myself for flipping the channel and missing that

and then there was a long discussion about bob kraft's happy ending massage and sal and ronnie come in, that's for sure all r rated. children should NOT be exposed to ronnie under any circumstances, i agree with that. but i think it'd be ripping the heart out of the show so i would just avoid it but that's just me

Yeah, I was thinking pretty much the interviews are the only thing I'd deem appropriate for kids. I wouldn't worry about missing anything though, you have 4 days a week to hear the reruns of stuff you missed over and over and over and over and...

I only missed one. The last one, Meryl Streep I think. Been watching too much porn I guess.

My parents used to listen with us in the car in his pretty early days, mid-80s on WXRK K-Rock 92.3 NY. I was probably 5 or younger, sisters as young as 2-3. I don't recall any flipping but I'll ask my mom. Of course, that's terrestrial radio dirtiness anyway.

Sisters and I loved him and Robin and would bring them up in precocious ways.

It's possible I vaguely remember the day they were flipping to 92.3 to find him for the first time after WNBC ("which one is he on now?"), but I may be conflating that with something else.

I've started listening to the History of in the app. About halfway through ep2, he's moving from DC to NY. Crazy how much his voice has changed through the years. He was pretty goofy back then.

The interview with Kim Goldman - sister of Ron Goldman killed by OJ - was pretty interesting. I had no idea she was still so active in the whole thing.

After 30 years of listening I lost interest in the show. Not sure I can explain why. Something about him being self-satisfied and less edgy maybe.

I'm still listening to old episodes on YouTube and such and it's amazing. Though I've seen most content, there is so much I always end up laughing out loud.

I've only been listening again for about 3 years now. Pretty sure I won't reup my sat subscription after this time. Robin is really grating on my nerves during the Basement Shows. I like her a lot better as the news person instead of listening to her cackle after every single thing HS says.

If you have the Sirius app, it's on there. 1 hour 12 minutes worth. I know for awhile the app was free due to covid. Not sure if it's still free or not. If it is, go to the Howard tab, scroll down to video or audio interviews and it's there for both.

I listened to some for free on the website a couple months ago. He was praising Jeff Bezos and him and Robin said they "don't have a problem" with him having hundreds of billions while people starve in the streets. Refreshing to finally hear from some hundred-millionaires that they don't mind the existence of billionaires!
