He actually made bail for that, but was sent back to prison for a parole violation. In the story it said he a 1999 conviction for drunk driving, and then plead guilty last May to driving without an ignition interlock device.

Would be nice to see the tribute they say they are airing.

Amazing how Howard can turn everyone around him into celebrities. He does give too much airtime to ETM.

That retarted moran brightens my day every time he comes on, each hair brained scheme more clueless than the last. Love the fact he thinks people want to listen to him. He should replace Ryan MudHelmet on American Idol.

What does that "ack ack" Fred plays mean when ETM is on? Where is it from?

This is the only reason I want to hear ETM. To be this naive and stupid is hilarious. I really thought for awhile it was a level, but its not.

The thing is I can hear this once a week and be satisfied.

MORE RALPH!

I have a theory that all of Fred's sound bites are funnier if you know their original context.

For example, the Martin Laundau stuff from "Ed Wood" is much funnier on the Stern show if you've seen "Ed Wood".

Having said that: I'm dying to see the gay bondage porn he took some sound bites from. "You're mine! You're my meat, you're my property."

If anybody knows the title that's from, let me know.

(In the end, all the internet is good for is requesting gay bondage porn.)

YGOS?

Seriously, I think this is the type of thing I am perfectly ok with having not seen where it came from for it to still be funny

Thought the show was really awful today. The discussion at the beginning wasn't even remotely interesting (retelling old Jackie stories we've already heard a bunch of times), the suspension game just fell real flat, the segment with the mentalist was a disaster (and the real annoying/crazy chick made it even worse), and Beet didn't really deliver, either. The joke about the other midget ****ting Beet's pants was funny the first time, but then they kept going back to that same joke and it got stale pretty fast imo. Then, as usual, Howard rushed Robin through the news and thankfully the show was over. Thoughts?

I thought Artie's story about Mrs Fulcomer was an instant classic--but I didn't get to hear any of the show after that segment.

"Oprah Winfrey, negro woman from the South," is another one I'd be interested in learning the origin.

Some gay black guy named Raymond was trying to get on Oprah's show by sending videos and stuff. Anyway, after never hearing from her, he made those rants. I don't know if they are on YouTube or what though.

He made another one they used to play about the Kobe Bryant sex scandal. He kept repeating the terms "national and international media" wrt to coverage of the case. They had fun with that for a while but it's been quite a few years since I've heard it.

IIRC he called into the show a couple times.

It's funny how the peculiar inside humor of the show finds it's way into my own failed attempts at levity.

A couple of friends (Scott and Holly) were gearing up to get married last fall and the bride-to-be had lost a lot of weight. She looked like a million bucks. When I saw them I said "Holy ****! You look incredible!" She preens and gushes "Thanks" to which I of course reply, "Yeah, I was talking to Scott."

My favorite though was when my then 6 or 7 month old nephew was starting to make talking noises. My mom wondered what he was trying to communicate. I pointed out that he was probably trying to say he still couldn't believe Richard and Sal let Bubba shock their testicles just so they could go to Robin's party.

My brother laughed but my mom and dad were like "WTF?".

I just did a search to see if there's any news on the merger. I found this:

Link

A couple of Congressmen wrote the FCC, pretty much saying, "It looks like you're going to approve the merger. If you do, we think you should stipulate the following conditions," and listed their wishes.

What annoyed me was the part where these Congressmen think it should be a legal requirement to make satellite radio units iPod-compatible, or even internet capable.

Does this make sense to anyone? As far as I know, tv manufacturers are not required to make tv's iPod-compatible. No other radio I'm familiar with is *required* to provide internet service.

WTF, Congress?

Has anyone ever gone to a Killers of Comedy show? I'm going to be driving right through Indianapolis next Saturday when they're in town, and I'm really tempted to stop and see the show. Anyone know if it's worth going to?

Artie won't be there, and I definitely wouldn't be going for Levy (especially now that the blue cheese bit is history). I'm not really a big stand-up fan either, which is why I'm wondering if it's worth going to see Richard, Sal, Beet, Yucko, Shuli, and the Sheik. I love them on the show, but based on what we've heard from Artie, Richard and Sal probably suck, and as much as I love Beet and the Sheik, I doubt that they're awesome entertainers when on stage by themselves (I'm guessing Beet can hold his own, though I really don't know).

I have seen Artie and the Killers of Comedy, Artie was great but the Killers were better, depends on the lineup tho YMMV.

Glad to see a Stern thread, I can't imagine playing online poker without the Stern show.

I was so excited for the Mexican Delivery Game, but this is a total bust. The girl is boring and borderline ****y, she's a prude, and she's clearly not even attractive (this is the first time I can ever remember a "hot chick" coming in without any reaction from Artie). I called in to complain, and whoever picked up (not Will?) said they were overwhelmed with pissed off fans who wanted her off the air.

You guys remember the last Mexican delivery game when Howard asked if one of the guys was married and what if his wife found out? Artie sneeringly said "Yeah, she's probably listening to this on her Stilletto". Couldn't stop laughing after that line.

I saw Bob Levy open for Artie in Boston a couple years ago. Honestly I thought Bob Levy was the more polished comic and would have liked to see him do more of his material as opposed to the warming up the crowd work he was doing. Artie's set was pretty good though, doesn't blow you away, but if you like Artie you will like it.

A year later or so i saw Nick DiPaulo and he did an awesome set.

I was 2nd row center sitting right behind Bubba and his crew at the infamous Tampa/Lakeland Artie & Killers of Comedy super show, where Sal fell of the stage and broke his arm.

It was intresting show, I actually found all of them funny except Artie. I was pretty much the same routine he did on his DVD. I think the show was too big, it was like 6k people and when a few of them hit bad spots in their routines the crowd turned on them quick. Bob Levy was the funniest of them all.

The best part of the show for me was talking with Ronnie the Limo Driver for a few minutes. Getting to meet Gary, Ross and Tim Sabean. And of course Sal falling off the stage at the end with the Booey Mask on.

I would go check it out again as a fan, but don't get your hopes up for a unbelievable show. Its basically just paying to see players from the show, be sorta funny on stage. Of course also don't be a complete dumbass like me and pay $700 for tickets. Spend like $30 bucks max or so.
