Just renewed for 120 for a year. They tried to charge 190 so I threatened to cancel.

I assume I am not being leveled here.
Robin did actual news reports, like a real news update person, in the show's early years, something like every hour. I forget when her news segment became her reading from the newspapers and them joshing about the news for the last part of the show. Probably was when he moved to K Rock.

I think I pay $22/mo, but I want absolutely everything. The only way to get MLB and Howard is to subscribe to XM and pay extra for the "Best of Sirius" package, then pay an extra $2/mo to be able to listen online. Or at least, that's how it was explained to me when I chose this package. I already had a Sirius radio in the car, I had to replace it with an XM radio to get the baseball.

And now the Red Sox suck.

Anyone know the source of the Gary clips that Richard and Sal used for a prank?

Gary was losing it in the clip. Something about a hairbrush in the ass. Guessing it was crazy cabbie from way back?

$22.91/mo

i had to switch to xm with best of sirius because i wanted the skydock (skydock)

sorta worth it. i love the show, and the dock will play ipod and charges my phone in clutch situations. i still feel dumb paying extra every month.

I'm starting to side with Scott about the block party. Anytime there is discussion about opening up the books Shuli deflects. Even months ago when they had issues, Howard told Shuli to open up the books to shut Scott up and he said he would, but then changed subjects to how much trouble Scott was.

If a McDonalds employee insists that the Kroc family open their books out of concern for getting his fair share, the Krocs should tell him to GFY.

Same thing here.

In addition to newspapers and TV, I think there were news wire services or something like that in those days.

Call and say you're going to cancel. They'll offer you a deal. I believe I pay around $6 a month for XM + Best of Sirius.

If for some reason they call your bluff and don't offer you anything, just backtrack at the last minute. That won't happen though.

I just bring up the topic about Robin and the news because i think that is one of the most common points I hear people bring up against Robin.

That most of the time when she does her news, she doesn't really know much about the story other than the headline. Then she can't really talk about it with Howard when he wants more details or she'll interpret some news story incorrectly.

But I was wondering if Robin was better about it in the past.

IMO the news is (and has been) the best part of the show consistently. I don't think it's really that important for Robin to know about the story. The news is more for her to introduce a story and start Howard riffing on current events.

yeah me personally i think robin is great, but she's easily the most hated person on the show.

yeah don't get me wrong, I've never thought much of Robin either ... the news is great because I enjoy Howard talking about current events, has little to do with Robin

I love robin. this whole raw food dr ronnie coffee enema nonsense and she's so into it, it's hilarious. that bumper clip they've been playing lately where she's talking at an auditorium or something about how she doesn't need to warm up her voice since she went raw, and she was preaching with such a condescending tone, she is SUCH a 34 ****in oprah wannabe with the horses and the nascars and the boating, she doesn't even ****in swim!

very interesting clues early in the show about howard's future. Booked a meeting to discuss the future on feb 5 and they've already started doing some changes behind the scenes. I thought for sure Howard would retire in 3 years because he'll be 62, but he said he's young, angry, energized and ready to go to a new place let sirius die (this last part was implied)

Nice to see Elisa Jordana drifting into Wack Pack territory. Not because it's good for the show. It just makes it a little easier to grasp why she's with Benjy.

Caught a good bit of some shows today including the wrap up show.

My goodness, Benjy is insufferable. Gary was totally right to be pissed at him for messing with the bit with Tommy Mottola. You can never get an honest answerfrom Benjy. Howard is right to call out his schtick all the time. I have no idea why they keep him on the show.

No Bubba + no Ferrall + no five Howards shows/wk + my waning enthusiasm for sports = not very happy with my Sirius nowadays. I never know when Jay Thomas is going to be on, but I rejoice every time I stumble upon his show.

Looks like I'm going to have to look into O+A.

It is annoying when Howard asks for details of the story and robin doesn't have a clue about the most basic facts.

It's also kind of tilting when somebody calls the show and asks about robins health and her return to the studio. Howard just always deflects it and tries to get rid of the caller. I know it's robins business, but I wish they would jus be more real about it and say "hey, robins got some health issues, but she's not comfortable talking about it on air".
