I was 100% sure that no one would ever buy bottled water unless they were in a third world country or something.

Not sure if it is still in BFI, but at the start of the bitcoin thread, someone quotes the current price as 17cents in a discussion/post right at the birth of BC.

Lots of replies the gist of which is dont burn your money buying any.

I was right when I acquired some at that point in time, was not right when I sold the majority of them for a big profit that could have been much MUCH bigger.

I was wrong to not have any idea of what bitcoin actually was until January of this year. And probably wrong to not investigate if Litecoin under $60 needs to be snapped up.

iPod. I believed in MP3's, but Creative Zen was a much better product. It had a longer battery life, FM radio, better interface, plus it worked easier with Napster. Why would anyone buy an iPod over this?

Seinfeld. I hated it at first but now it is probably my favorite sitcom of all time.

Back in 2000, I thought the Patriots were completely insane giving up a 1st round pick for Belichick.

I remember way back in the early 90's, some young guy was playing for a local softball team...pretty smart looking guy, and he had some bottled water in the car, as he was working for a company into that....one of the early ones, by definition. It was the dumbest thing I had ever seen.

I totally misread that by miles and miles.

i made a few trades thinking it would make me feel like a man. after initial success during the rush last fall, the market moved in the opposite direction of every decision i made, so i tweaked my systems like i was nima jooyandeh and continued losing.

Thought that Ryan Leaf was stronger and more athletic than Peyton Manning, thus wold stand up to the NFL beating better and be a more viable option at QB.

Just about as far wrong as one can possibly get. Like, USS-Enterprise-thrown-across-the-universe wrong.

Just glad that was in pre Fantasy Football days.

I have tons of these relating to football. I thought Carson Wentz and Cam Newton were surefire busts.

As a Steelers fan I was really pissed when they passed on Chad Pennington to draft Plaxico Burress. A decade later I couldn't believe they blew a 2nd rounder on a running back (LeVeon Bell).

Fast forward many years, and though I am not sure I have ever watched a regular episode on television, I know enough about the show to realize that for my tastes, I was wrong to dismiss it. If "the crowd" hadn't loved it early, I may have been a big fan.

On the flip side, one thing that I will always be right about is that Jerry Seinfeld sucks. I will give him credit for having the hit show, but the guy is not funny, and in interactions and interviews I have seen with him through the years, he is awkward at best (see the Larry King clip on Youtube). He sucks....never watched the show, but feel that I have seen every episode, as I know most of the big stories and one liners that have withstood the test of time, so to speak. The guy rubs me the wrong way, and I don't think he has a good rep with other comics (if you dig below the surface and look under the hood). Whereas, a guy like Jay Leno is despised by many in the business, but his comedy is respected and Leno is considered one of the best stand ups.
I totally agree with you on Seinfeld
The show is good bit overrated
He is not funny in interviews and his stand up is awful

As far as being dead wrong-ive never been as wrong about a baseball player as I was when I thought Adrian Beltre was massively overrated and woukd flame out of the league
