Funny story:
On Barry's website a guy tells the story a guy gets busted for possession.
The cops tells the guy they'll go easy on him if he rats out his dealer. The guy agrees. The cops fill out paper work to get cash, they photocopy all the money to have the serial numbers on record, and give the cash to the user to make a buy. The guy walks inside the dealers house, buys, and uses the drugs inside the house.

The guy comes out and the cops are pissed. No drugs means no bust.
Now the cops have to explain what happen to the cash the signed out for.

It really doesnt matter what you look like. go hang in front of a live music establishment for just 5 mins. i guarantee someone will proposition you before you even open your mouth. easiest and safest way imo.

Although these stories are funny, I don't really understand. Do you guys not have any friends at all? I don't smoke pot, but could get some if I wanted from about twenty different people I know who do. Not all of these people are best buds (GET IT), but I'm well-acquainted enough with them that they know I'm not a cop and would help me out.

This just all seems like an extravagant amount of work to get something that a really large % of the population uses regularly.

Well, I guess it depends on your definition of "contacts," which I took to mean "guys you buy weed from." If the situation here is that everyone he knows has moved away from where he lives, then the story makes more sense, although if so he has bigger problems than not being able to score weed.

Lets say you have friends that live in New York City that smoke pot but you moved to Kansas City, Kansas. What are you going to do? Drive to NYC for a couple of ounces? Ask your friends to commit felonies and mail weed to you? My present circle of friends where I live don't smoke so I've been getting creative to get my 420 fix...

I should note that I don't live in a conservative flyover hellhole, so maybe I'm totally off about how not big of a deal this should be.

If I moved to a new town and had a job where I worked w/ other people, I guarantee you I could find pot within a few days, not that I would want to.

Asking coworkers at a new job if they can score you pot is a terrible idea. Some people can be pretty uppity about "drugs".

If that doesn't seem cool to you, just go to the state university and take a music theory class... score some Banana Kush while learning your modes. If you already play an instrument, take a jazz improv class and you'll be getting baked right after the first class.

Lol. I'm not suggesting going into the break room on the first day and going from person to person asking them if they can help you score. I'm saying it's not too hard to identify and develop a rapport with someone at your work (younger dude with longer hair, blah blah), who might at least not get freaked out by a casual inquiry.

As with most of these situations it helps to not have butthamburgers syndrome or be a complete social ******.

All valid points, but i've been employed at the same place for 7 years and I don't know of one person (out of 20ish) that i'm 100% on. I don't really socialize with my coworkers though....and I live in CA so scoring is not really an issue for me.

Well, again, it helps to have friends. But leaving that aside, I would personally roll the dice on a co-worker not being a tattletale douche before I'd roll the dice on going to a craigslist hooker's apartment. But that's just me.

Definitely agree that if you actually don't know anyone, going to a concert is the best move.

Asking co wokers for drugs is HORRIBLE. If you have any sort of legitimate job this is last thing you want to do. It's very likely the coworker could mention it to other employees in casual convos etc., even if they mean no harm by it. You don't want is people at work to be aware of such things. Office gossip is big problem nowadays.

No one is talking about a legit job.
