How many people could you kill with out getting caught? How many people could you kill with out getting caught?

The Golden Gate Killer thread got me curious. Assuming you are the exact same person you are now EXCEPT you have 0 moral compass, how many people do you think you could kill in a 40 year span before being caught? What would be your death instrument? Mass killings are not allowed-so no bombing a sporting event or anything like that.

Pretty sure I'd be caught within one or two kills. I doubt I have the street smarts to pull off a bunch of kills in a row without leaving behind massive evidence. I think the only way I could pull off more would be through poisoning. I think that would be my best shot at avoiding detection.

What says you OOT?

I feel that if I really turned in to an amoral version of myself, I would have a lot more killing skills and removal of squeamishness built up from a childhood of killing animals, etc....

One thing I do know is that poison is likely a bad choice if your goal is to not get caught. Poison requires getting close to someone's food or drink source and in most cases will be traced back to you.

I dont this is a particularly good thread idea imo

assuming you wouldn't get caught for a murder is a flat out stupid idea. but in op's fantasy land i guess i could put trump into hypnosis and have him destroy around 3.5 continents.

If I suddenly turned into a killing psychopath I could probably get away with it longer just due to the fact I don't fit the profile, I'm reasonably bright and I've watched/read a lot of true crime crap. Larry is probably right though that this isn't a great thread idea. In b4 thread participant/s are arrested for murder.

lol yeah this might be stretching OOT's imagination a little too much. I figured if there was a thread about how many 5 year olds you can beat in a fight that this wasn't that far off the path if we stretched our imaginations

You don't fit the profile because you have too many X chromosomes.

Well I'm pretty competitive so would have gone for over 600 to beat Elizabeth Bathery but that's not a realistic goal unfortunately.

If it was just about body count it seems long-range sniper kills would be the way to go.

The DC Sniper wasn't on the run for very long.

I feel like a typical driver in LA that doesn't stop for pedestrians could away with a lot of murders. I witnessed 3 hit and runs out here and quite a few more hits.

Not sure if randomly mowing down people walking accross the street is in the spirit of this thread though.

You don't see the difference?

I've watched enough forensic TV to know the reason people get caught is because they kill people they have connections to. basically if you kill a random and don't leave much easily searchable forensic evidence (finger prints, license plates, to some degree dna) then they can't do much past some really good leads like camera footage or eyewitnesses.

I am in the state's DNA database so I would put my number at 1.

I mean yes, but if the one gets talked about as much as it has, then the 2nd doesn't seem like that much of a stretch

Nah, you aren't seeing it.
