I am Canadian and just moved to outside New Orleans - I'm in the same dilemma except I don't have the accent and I am a white girl - people look at me like I am nuts or they totally ignore me like I'm not even there!! I have tried all the suggestions with exception too getting a dish washing job. Life's just better stoned. If anyone has any suggestions for me - please HELP me - some ideas please!! bless -b

I went to New Orleans for a music convention in college. I'm a bona fide pothead and the trip sucked and I was wanting a buzz bad plus everyone I was with was talking about getting there and scoring a bag. They were all wondering how we were gonna score, etc. I said don't worry bout it.

Well we got off the plane and got on a bus to our hotel. I started conversation with some dude right away and had a bag before our stop. Everyone I was with was totally culture shocked and couldn't even believe I was talking to people on the bus let alone scoring herb from them.

Well we get off the bus and I buy some cigars. We get to the hotel room and the guy who was bitching the most about getting high the whole trip wouldn't let me smoke a blunt in the hotel room. WTF!?! Him not letting me smoke knowing all the **** that goes down in New Orleans near the French Quarter (another year one of my friends was saved from being mugged by the police) was so dumb. Anyway, the girls of the group invited me to smoke in their hotel room. I then met a guy who tended bar near our hotel from the same state as me and scored bags from him the rest of the trip.

Do the cops even bust ya for weed there? During the trip I wasn't allowed to smoke in the hotel room I had to smoke other places when the girls were showering, etc. I smoked blunts in the driveway of the hotel and noone even looked at me. I was basically sitting on a corner bench smokin a blunt.

EDIT: Actually my buddy that got mugged had told me that the police told him to ask people in the hotels for grass and never follow someone into the alleys. They said a kid had been stabbed a week before tryin to buy a bag.
