im in an information systems and quantitative management class right now and apparently
data--->information--->knowledge is the logical process for decisions. If you don't check the data you don't have the info, thusly, vis a vi, concordingly, wipe yo ****.
CMI (10:02:09 PM): How do blind people know when to stop wiping?
Blind Guy (10:02:53 PM): what do you mean
CMI (10:02:56 PM): like
CMI (10:03:05 PM): when u are going in for a wipe
CMI (10:03:11 PM): sometimes you only need one wipe
CMI (10:03:19 PM): sometimes its really messy, and you need like seven
Blind Guy (10:03:39 PM): um, the feel?
Blind Guy (10:03:43 PM): like
Blind Guy (10:03:53 PM): not necessarily touching it
Blind Guy (10:03:54 PM): I mean
Blind Guy (10:04:00 PM): if it is "messy"
Blind Guy (10:04:03 PM): it will feel such
Blind Guy (10:04:07 PM): to you

That makes sense. Basically it comes down to how much friction you're getting. When your butt starts to burn, you're done.

also - wtf people stand up to wipe? Why? No wonder I go into a stall at work sometimes and the seat is covered in ****.
also also - think about the dude that shat before you, got some on his hand, and got an indiscernible amount of it on the toilet paper roll, door latch, etc. That dude has e.coli and is Hep+. LOL at you dumb ****s who don't wash your hands after going in after him.
I have been teaching the blind for six years and have heard a lot of ridiculous questions, but never this one. Blindness does not make you stupid. Personally, I don't check out the paper as I'm wiping. I know if I wipe a few times I'm okay, not to mention you can tell when you are getting something there. Although I have never taught anyone who is blind to wipe there ass, I'm sure most know what they are doing. Just wipe like three times and you know you are covered. Most blind people who have had descent skills training (i.e. training in non-visual techniques and problem solving strategies-they are transferable across many situations and evironments) are very neat and hygenic. Sorry to rant but I hear **** like this all the time and it so obvious that poeples expectations of blind people are so low and unrealistic it is sad.
For those who don't look -
do you ever get **** streaks in your underwear?
challenge to non-lookers -
For 1 week of bowel movements, wipe as you normally do but then wipe 1 additional time and take a quick peek. Still convinced you're getting everything?
question for standers -
i don't get it. You sit to poop right (or do you stand for that part too)? Then you stand up and... what? turn and face the toilet? Do you put a foot up on the toilet seat or something? Do you straddle the toilet?
I get the feeling you deal with skid marks on a pretty regular basis.
No I don't get skid marks. For me 3 wipes generally covers it. It's not the number of wipes that I pay attention to but the feel of the paper. I guess for some people 3 wipes would not get it. But how long would it take to figure that out. If I wiped my ass 3 times and I got up and went about my day and realized I smelled like **** or had skid marks, I would probably wipe five times from then on. Since when is wiping your ass rocket science. We learn from experience. Everyone has had plenty of experience wiping their ass whether they are blind or sighted.
