OP, if you aren't going to use your foolproof keno system to turn your $70 into heroin millions, why not use the system you devised to win at NCAAB betting? Surely that one will get you out of this mess.

Also, I think people in this thread are being pretty mean to you. Maybe you should ask Bobo Fett to re-open the thread you made in ATF about the injustices you have suffered posting here.

Maybe I deserve people being mean and making assumptions.

After all I committed the unspeakably ******ed and demonic act of going to the casino and playing blackjack and when I hit on 13 against a King I was given a face card.

I mean seriously how stupid could someone be. If I was smart clearly I would have gotten an 8.

Getting defensive after posting all of this nonsense seems very insecure on your part, tbh.

you might not care what I think, but what I think apparently bothers you, because you want to hurt me with your words the way I hurt you with mine. So it seems I hit upon something. I'm sorry for hurting your feelings, Im not doing it to try and look cool on the internet, im doing it because it seems near impossible to get through to you and the fantasy you have built up around you, but if you ever want to actually not be a miserable degenerate its going to take a cold ugly look in the mirror.

OP, you're going to be fine. Either you devote yourself to working really hard over the next year and fixing your money management, or you don't and you just end up in jail.

you should be able to get a bank loan for that amount no problem. Buddy of mine got some gambling debt in college and had it pretty much no questions asked. not sure how much things have changed.

What was your ASVAB score, and did your recruiter tell you he'd never seen anything like it?

Sup,

Part of the problem is that when you say you are great with numbers and faster than a calculator and things like that, it appears you mean that you can add and subtract small numbers rapidly. Not that you have any legitimate ability to do even uncomplicated calculations quickly. This is evidenced by the fact that you can't figure out how much money you coild save or how fast you could lay down a loan by yourself.

Regarding everything else, I can't even tell if you understand that it's very unlikely you are a winner gets blackjack player. You would obviously be better off if you found a way to stop yourself from going to the casino. Really what you should do is call every casino you can think of and exclude yourself. Then, you should find either a job that pays at least twice what yours does, or a second job.

Sup sup,

I've seen a couple few instances here where guys have made(see: Dids) and left untapped(see: ytf) some pretty good bank and I think you have a similar opportunity. Not sure we can lay a number for not gambling because first there's no real way to track it, but mostly there is no way you'll not do it unfortunately.
Maybe think of some milestones for the year that we can monitor and place corresponding odds on them and maybe people will put up some $. I'm sure El Diablo would escrow. Anyway, just an idea.

Some possible topics that have already been mentioned. Some less serious than others, but just some ideas already mentioned:

OP - Allow me to play pseudo psychologist on the internet because i dont do it often. This may be nonsense but maybe it will allow you a different perspective:

When people are really smart as kids they get very used to that superstar status for intelligence.

They often assume that due to being hyper-intelligent they will automatically achieve great things in life.

But then life hits and life doesn't reward intelligence as much as school rewards it. Life rewards hard work, perseverence, luck, people skills, and positivity. And suddenly that kid that was once a superstar sees all these people that are less intelligent than him go past him and achieve greater things. He even works for a boss that is considerably less intelligent than him.

So, seeing an imbalance between his expectations and his reality, he needs to find excuses for why he isn't super successful. The easiest way is to say that it's due to 'self sabotage' and constantly use gambling to put himself in to bad situations. He can at least feel alive when his back is against the wall and always has an excuse for why he hasn't "made it", despite his very high iq.

If this is at all true, the accepting it is the first step. The second is getting banned from all casinos and card rooms, joining gamblers anonymous, accepting some humility, and starting to work hard. You still sound young, you have barely lost anything, are barely in debt, and from the sounds of it aren't bad with women. You could be back on track to success in a year, and leave gambling in the dust.

Anyway that could be a whole bunch of ridiculous nonsense. Idk.

can you give us some examples of the good bets you've made in the pits since you're faster than a calculator?

if you could afford a phone do you think you could beat it's free calculator mano a mano?

also, what happens when you loosen your belt?

Getting some real good jollies out of that pic. Dragging a pot across a roulette layout. Lol! A multi colored pot at that!

Nearly every last casino promo pic is hilariously not real. And I'm not even talking about the always good looking people laughing in each one.

Good post and I've seen this play out with at least five people I know (including my brother). It's really frustrating when smart people can be so dumb.

Now if you combine those skills above with intelligence then we have a formula for success.

I'm not sold I get this read on the OP though. The narrative reads like a 17 yo is behind it. But since we know he is way older than that I'm guessing it's just immaturity and addiction. I do hope the sabbatical from gambling happens for the OPs sake and maybe he will learn that he can have a much more stable long term legit hustle in the form of.... Idk... Selling cars or something. Then if you want, you can still take a shot every now and then, without risking all of the money you have.

Second job.
Third job.

Also, set a goal for 10 years from now, and start working toward it. Something other than gambling. That's not gonna work out. If you are better than a calculator at math, you know you can't beat the house at their games. Get educated or get some experience. Get to where you know things other people don't or are licensed to do things that few people are licensed to do.
