It looks like you actually read a number of replies before posting. What part of that made you think that this was a good place to try to get a loan?

I found out about this site through word of mouth online. My friend told me that he heard of someone else who actually got a loan from someone here a while ago. I figured if I posted my car’s registration and some other verification info that someone might actually bite but that gregario guy doesn’t buy my story obviously and devil dude can’t loan anything out.

I buy your story I just don't think I'd get paid back and a Florida car title isn't much use to me in Canada.

Okay, fair enough. No proof of income, paid under the table, etc. Plus there are lots of rip offs here. Is there any other form of collateral I could possibly offer?

Serious advice: See if you can get health insurance now, and get it covered that way. If you cannot get medicaid, and if you are seriously making enough that you can pay $8K plus interest in 2.5 months you probably cannot, then go on the Obamacare exchange and see what is available.

If you make enough that you can pay $8K plus interest in 2.5 months, file your damn taxes. That is not your employer's responsibility.

Kittsune, regardless of the outcome of this venture you should consider joining the community on the merits of being a good sport. Lots of good advice here on career advancement, sandwiches, etc.

When I turned 18 I found out she withheld info about tax returns from me and the other girls but I had never filed them so it didn't affect me as much. I know that sounds sketchy but I worked for the dragon lady so..yeah.

Can you elaborate on your income? How much do you make that after taking care of your living expenses you can save up 8k+interest in 2.5 months?

I missed this question. Over the summer I basically work like a dog, and I'm already out of school. I work 6-8 hours on the week days depending on how busy he is, get paid $16/hour. Then I work at least 4 days at a restaurant and my tips vary but I never make less than $70-$80-ish a day because it's a touristy area and it's a high end place. I pay half my car insurance and my phone bill and that's it.

Also, I'm Colombian, not Mexican, so I guess I forgot what continent Mexico is located in. Oops.

1) My deviated septum makes it nearly impossible to breathe out of one side of my nose. It's also very painful at times, but I don't know if it's related to the deviation.
2) I put a deposit down already for the surgery date which I've said was a stupid decision.
3) He needs the money one month/4 weeks in advance.

Re 2: it will cost you much less to lose your deposit and save up for the surgery and not have to borrow money than it will to get your surgery as scheduled and pay a shark.

Have you looked in to getting insurance yet?
