I am going to assume you are telling the truth, and i will go ahead and tell you that there may be better ways of approaching this than paying $8K out of pocket.
1. Were you driving the car?
2. Did you cause this accident?
3. Are you a named insured on this vehicle?
4. I don't know too much about health insurance, and somebody else may be able to weigh in on this, but without a preexisting condition requirements that now exist after Obamacare, why can't you just get health insurance now and have that pay for your treatment?
1. I was driving and technically at fault (but I hadn't been texting or smoking or anything).
2. It's my aunt's car and even though I lived with her, I'm not on her insurance for it.
3. I don't really know about insurance or anything. I'm pretty sure I'm supposed to have Medicaid because of my situation but I've sort of been on my own for a while so I'm 99% sure I'm not insured. My aunt covered the initial minor surgery on my nose but then I was basically told that because it occurred in a fault state, and because it wasn't even my car, that I have to pay out of pocket. I mean I could try to sign up for medicaid since I'll probably have to do that anyway, but I don't know if they'd cover it, and I need to get the money to him by the 18th. Thanks for hearing me out a bit ._.
