Its advice like this that is going to lead you down the wrong path. If we ignore ties, the probability of winning a hand of blackjack is 46.36%, meaning that the probability of winning 5 in a row about 2.1%, which is worse than the 2.63% of a single number bet in roulette. I think its clear you need to get in what is left of your car, drive to wherever has roulette (is Vegas close?) and put it all on red.

Admittedly, I gave OP some bad advice in my previous post, but you're just compounding the error here. If he's going to drive to a place where he has roulette as an option, clearly betting on one # is the way to go. That way he has a 2.63% chance at having $2,520. Betting on red gives him a 47.37% chance of hitting, but again the chances of hitting 5 in a row just to get to $2,240 takes him down to 2.39%.

How much can I save in one year, based off the information I have given you guys?

Is this really that surprising? Ive been losing at the casino and I havent been able to quit.

OP, a person would be able to save 12k in a year with your take home and about $1k in bills, rent/car/food/gas/car insurance but it would take a lot of discipline that you haven't shown, and that kind of discipline is usually embedded in your nature. Not really something found in a person with 7 loans(some outstanding) and looking for another.

Also, if you are not cheap/frugal in nature you will explode and spend all the money you have saved.

Just quite gambling, it is just pissing money away.

Anyone else sometimes find it kind of crazy that gambling is even legal and allowed? It destroys lives.

Im not suggesting it be de-legalized but sometimes it just seems a bit odd to me that there are sick people who can keep dropping everything they have in the casino and the casino will continue to allow them in.

Its a sickness.

Do I come across as not that bright? Does being a complusive gambler with ADD necessarily mean a person is "not that bright" though.
