Im looking for a personal loan in the SF Bay Area. Need $8500. I am fully employed. I bring home $2700 or so every other week. Of course my debt is due to gambling. YES I am willing to self-ban from card rooms for a year if that is a condition of the loan (I heard it might be).

I am days away from eviction. I don't know what the standard vig is, but I can pay up about $1,000 every-other week until full debt plus vig is paid off. Additionally, I will be able to make one extra payment of $1500 at the end of October to help get it paid off more quickly.

You should probably do this even if you don't get a loan from anyone.

I feel bad for you so I'll just give you the truth. This thread comes up in Google searches, but it isn't a real place to get loans. It's just for sort of joking around with people on the forum.

I'm sorry for your problems, but trust me, a loan shark is not the person you want to cross with a gambling problem. They don't cut slack for excuses.

Also, what kind of life insurance policy do you have? If it's a universal policy, you might be able to take a loan against the cash value.
