C'mon, you're practically a mathlete. High school boys don't get laid that much.

I just remember that all of the guys were having sex, or talking about having sex, and very few girls the same age were.

My perspective might be a little warped by my own experiences though. My bf in HS was 25 and I hung out with an older crowd and didn't feel like there was that much of a difference in maturity. But, I had been working and living on my own so my perspective/maturity might have been different than the typical high school girl.

Women do sexually mature later than guys do though(from what I've seen), so a 22yr old female banging a 17yr old boy is roughly the same sexual age.

Past the age of consent and a 5 year age Gap just does not seem like a big deal at all for me, and moreso when the guy is the younger participant. It's insane for a 22yr old girl to go to jail and be labeled as a sexual predator and have her life ruined though. But, I don't have experience with younger guys or the power dynamic that may exist; I think I've only ever banged guys that were at least 4-5yrs older than me. I've always liked guys with a lot of confidence+experience and not afraid to manhandle and stuff. Maybe these women are attracted to the opposite or don't have much experience and would feel uncomfortable with someone older or their age with more experience.

I just can't imagine that the guys feel like they are sexually abused or taken advantage of to wear the women need to be punished.

Any sex between someone in power position and someone in dependent position like teacher and student is a "no-go". And boys mature a lot later than girls do.

I am right now reading lectures to an auditorium of 200+ engineering students. All of them are older than the age of consent is. 90+% are male 20 sth ready to bang everything that comes their way, including such an old hag like me. It just not gonna happen, because such mixing of the roles would be a disaster for my role as a teacher. I intend to keep my authority.

The problem is not forcing young men to sex. The problem is role mixing and huge difference in ability to handle emotionally complicated situations.

Ok, first of all, women on average mature faster than men, approximately 3-5 years, that might explain why you had an older boyfriend because you were more mature, and he was a little immature, for your respective ages.

A 22 year old female can pretty much sleep with whoever she wants. To choose to do so with a child that she has authority over is beyond ****ed up. The fact that a boy wants to have sex with anything that moves doesn't change that

No one thinks it's a good idea but the pearl clutching is a little much. A 22yo having sex with a 17yo is not some national tragedy. It's consensual sex, and the age of consent is 16 or 17 in most states.

As for the teacher student dynamic yes it's a bad idea but plenty of college profs have had affairs with students and lived to tell the tale, in fact 2 profs at the school where I work are now married to their (much younger) former students. In both cases they supposedly didn't start dating until they were no longer in their class. It's really not some earth-shattering betrayal of the teacher's code imo. Especially in college... they are all adults.

Did anyone else notice that newest hot teacher in this thread was a recent graduate of Liberty University? That's the evangelical Christian school founded by Jerry Falwell. Looks like they're turning out the kind of winners I would have expected.

I completely agree that it is not earth-shuttering tragedy or so. It is definitely not in any way a crime. And I have dated few guys a lot younger. But never my students.

Sex completely changes the role distribution. I have been on the other side in such situations. It is very difficult to navigate for the dependent person. And it would be for me also difficult now that I am the one in power. I don't want some rumors about how I am in bed while I am explaining to them hyperbolic differential equations. And I mean.... this are 20 sth dudes. How probable is that they ain't gonna brag? I don't want any drama generally in life, and especially no drama involved in my job, and the probability of the drama is exponentially increased in such constellation. The thing is not that it is somehow immoral or so.... It just gets so complicated to keep all involved from hurt that it is much easier just not to go there.
