Help, wife wants to name our kid "Mr. Pibb" - Other Topics Forum - Discuss Pop Culture, Arts and Entertainment

Really need some advice. Promised the wife years ago that she could name our second our second child if I got to name the first one. Turns out she really hates the name "Cornelius" and is now trying to get back at me by naming our second child "Mr. Pibb." I am worried that this will cause endless teasing in school. Also, I am a die hard Dr. Pepper man. Not sure what I can do here.

Marriage is all about compromise. Find something that meets in the middle, like when you have parents who wanted Megan and Lynn settle on Megyn.

In your case you could settle on "Dr. M" or "Diet Dr. Thunder". Personally I like the latter best. Certainly better than Great Value.

You two can always change it legally later on if she gets back on her meds. Or the kid can do it when he grows up if he wants to.
