I was conversing with Aloysius via PM and am planning visit friends in Pasadena, either the weekend of September 8th or the 15th, don't know which yet. He said we should meet up since apparently Pasadena is not far from where a bunch of 2+2'ers reside.

If interest let me know, and I'll bump this thread later when I firm up plans.

Also, I believe this thread is OOT-friendly, as happy hour threads happen here from time to time and there is currently a DC one active. If not, IP ban plz.

I'm in. There's a bar in Pasadena with like 500 beers on tap that I've always wanted to try, but that's far as hell for people on the Westside.

Don't know who that is, but it would be sweet if we could get Blarg to come out. Maybe he and Aloysius could have a 10K fight yo in the parking lot in lieu of their impending Heavyweight OOT Survivor.

Also, Pasadena appears on maps to be just a few miles from Los Feliz and not far from downtown. I know the traffic sucks legendarily in that city but I don't see how it would be too hard for me to get down in that area, particularly if it's against the flow of traffic (unless there is no flow because it's stopped in both directions).

BTW I wasn't implying that people come up to Pasadena, I'm Kool & the Gang with going down to wherever. Also, I haven't confirmed that I can crash at my friend's house so may just grab a hotel room down there for a night.

Wouldn't the downtown-ish area make the most sense? You're slogging over from teh OC, suzzler is apparently coming over from the west, and Dom may be coming from Vegas (

). I've bragged in the past about my 40 Deuce connections but that's total BS, a friend I play basketball with is the CEO of an airline and gets us in w/o problem, but no way this sausage-fest is getting through those doors without his connection.

EDIT: I really do not care about the weekend, the friend's gonna be there regardless, so I'm deferring to the masses as it's all the same to me.

tupper, please let's not pick some hip, annoying, packed club/bar. That's about the only thing that would keep me from coming. Let's just find someplace relaxed and mellow where we can all have some good sharing, and maybe even a little cry. Also maybe Yugo can come up from the OC and teach us some PUA finishing combo moves.

I know some ok spots in downtown LA, Hollywood-ish, or on the west side. Anywhere else I'm out of my element. Does Chateau Marmont sound good to anyone? Cool place, usually not too nuts, even on the weekends. Maybe tuq can get a room and we can trash it.
