Great marketing by Smirnoff, however the people part-taking in it are nothing more than a bunch of sad ****s who want to appear fun / cool.

Someone does this to me and I take the drink, turn away and never bother partying with that sad freak again.

Drinking games, pranks and the two combined are funny. Some sad game invented by a drinks company is merely that, a sad game invented to boost sales.

fwiw, i don't think it's a drink for chicks. my hunch is that smirnoff ice was designed to appeal to underage drinkers, both male and female.

Meh, dont get the Ice hate. I mean i like a good wine or beer but when you wanna get drunk you cant beat alcopops (esp if you arent a shot drinker, which after some earlier experiences with shots i cant go near vodka or whiskey without gagging just from the smell alone). Also gin and Ice is a great drink.

Ice is one of those drinks where its easy to pound half a dozen then go to the club and avoid the price gouging there. I mean its just lemonade and goes down nice when chilled to just above freezing.

Better for bonging than beer too.

Anyway, i doubt ill be doing this Icing but even if it is a marketing ploy so what, im sure it will be played by a bunch of college kids across the world and they will have fund doing so. There is only so many times you can do a Centurion and finding new and interesting ways to drink booze is half the point of college, lol.

haha people need to lighten up. one of my friends found this site a few weeks ago and emailed my group of friends. we all bantered back and forth about how lol stupid/whatever it was.

that night we drinking a few beers hanging out at one of my friends place. my gf texted me and said she was going to stop by. i told her to pick up some smirnoff ice and walk in and give 'em out and say "you got iced."

she comes over a few minutes later with 2 24 oz (lol) smirnoff ices and ices a few of my unsuspecting bros. i took some pics and videos to send to the guys from the emails, who all seemed to think it was pretty funny.

it's not like this is something that is going to consume a bunch of our time, but it's fun to fk around every once in awhile and do something stupid. you can bet i will have a case of ices chilling when my friends come to vegas in a few weeks to visit. mmmm....

My hope is that she would know better than to. If not for this topic I would have no idea what was going on so I would be dumbstruck and just decline. I view Ice as a girlie drink so my automatic assumption would be that it was some sort of insult. Now knowing what it is I would still just play stupid and decline.
