can't ever remember having a non-full Southwest flight.

and I always get an aisle seat. as long as U R in the B-group at least u can always get an aisle seat. I can't even imagine sitting in a middle or window seat on Southwest - the seating is tight and somewhat uncomfortable.

A lot of planes have tray tables in the front row build into the armrest. It hinges up and the tray table is folded up inside.

never flew SW - sounds like some interesting ticket options

At least they don't do the section of jump seats that face each other anymore. That was completely wtf.

Their newer 737s with the blue seats are pretty plush for budget flying.

Lolpoors is all I can say. A premium seat is $40 more than economy? No wonder airlines hate you

Being serious though - there's a reason seats are getting smaller and you're getting charged for bags. And it comes down to lolpoors. Someone else can elaborate on the elasticity of airline tickets.

The seats are all the same. That's just to board first.

Because my Spirit flights to Las Vegas are cheaper than the Uber ride to the airport?

My bad - I shouldn't have specified southwest

In the thread of someone asking specifically about southwest. Apparently.

Disregard and my apologies

Probably - do you complain about baggage space and/or seat space and/or customer service and/or aircraft delays?

I don't care about bag space. On Spirit, I only bring my free personal item anyway. With Southwest I usually bring a carry-on that still fits under the seat if necessary.

and/or seat space
I'm 5'7 135lbs, so I basically fit anywhere, no matter the airline or aircraft. Only problem is big people next to me who try to take over my space.

Haven't talked to the Spirit one yet. Southwest has been pretty good in the past with short wait times over the phone. OTOH, had to call Delta last week to add an infant to a reservation. That call took 50 minutes. 48 minutes in line, 2 minutes to update the reservation.

That's sometimes an issue on my Spirit flight to LV. My standard return flight leaves Vegas a little past midnight and almost always arrives a couple of minutes early, even when departure is delayed for a bit.

That's fair - flying cheap with no add ons is fine if you're not bitching about or scamming the system. It's the people with a hockey bag as a carry on and complain about the middle seat when they paid for their ticket with coins that are the worst.

If you check in -exactly- at 24:00:00 before your check-in, you can often get a late A seat. These are nice because they do "family boarding" in between A and B sections, and I've seen families of 20 people get on at this time. You'll get an even earlier assignment if it is the second leg of multiple leg trip, since in that case they are letting you sign in more than 24 hour before that leg.

Nevertheless, as long as you have any A or B assignment, you'll generally get pretty free choice of window and aisle seats. I like choosing a window about 1/3 of the way down the plane, ideally with someone already sitting in the aisle but no one sitting in the middle.

Well, you want to get any seat you want even with the last boarding pass on the plane?

Bring an ESA with you. You go first. Even ahead of first-class or military members.

"It is the Enforcement Office’s view that section 382.93 requires carriers to board passengers with disabilities who self-identify at the gate as needing to preboard for one of the listed reasons to board the plane before all other passengers, including first class passengers, elite-level passengers , members of the military, passengers with small children, etc." --see attached preboarding notice

Whatever floats your boat.

Go to the help-desk and tell them your dog must be seated near a window because it becomes very claustrophobic. Also, your dog is afraid of males and must be seated next to a petite female.

They will do the best to accommodate all your requests. No joke.

Isn't this why you were contained in the first place? Not every thread needs your ESA spewing bs. We get it, ESAs exist and you know about them. Stop 'tarding up every thread that's even remotely related. ESA thread exists, people will go there if they want.
