Hello all, I've been apart of the poker community for quite some time and felt like this would be a good spot to also post this, but long story short, my Mom passed away on June 7th due to a massive stroke. I started a GoFund Me for her as we are short money for her funeral to give her a beautiful ceremony. Her insurance policy was only for 15k and the funeral is going to cost us 17k. My brother, Dad, and I have been out of work for 3 weeks since her stroke because we knew we weren't going to have much time left with her and all that time was spent at the hospital. If anyone would be generous or kind enough it would be greatly appreciated. Sorry if this isn't allowed here, but I would never ask for help if I truly didn't need it. The link is down below. Sorry for your loss but are you going to close the go fund me when it reaches $2k? And not to be rude how between the 3 of you can't you come up with $2k?

We've been out of work for 3 weeks and we've never really had much money. We've had to spend quite a bit of money on the medical bills to. Ambulance ride alone costs 2500 bucks. Medical bills and everything else wipes out money real quick. And yes the fund will be closed if it reaches the 2k.

And my other brother doesn't work at all so that doesn't help either.

I might be missing something here. You say she died on June 7th but today is May 13th. Why did you wait for almost 1yr before burying her?

Several posts about this guy being a scammer. Coincidentally the amount he owed just happens to be $2000. Not sure if scammer is the right word, but screwing over backers by quitting while in the hole, with markup and not paying them back while continuing to play poker

Uhm I've never scammed anyone. Not sure what you're talking about. That backing group was toxic. Have plenty of references on here.

My mother passed away and you bring up a super old backing issue which is extremely toxic.

I hate it when people bring up the past when I beg strangers for money on the internet.
