Flat Earth Fustercluck: The Merge

Hello brave reader, this thread will contain an idea that will reshape your world view and free you from a false mindset. It's going to be challenging for yourself to critically examine the monstrosity of the lie you have been told your entire life but if you curious enough you will come to the realization that the world we live on is not a globe and we are the center of the universe. I am going to have enough reasons and evidence to make you question the whole of astronomy. I'll thrash the usual trolls I attract with points they cannot refute and a mind that remains ignorantly steadfast but it could very well be you reading this that will find the seed that will grow into a true reality.

I'll answer everything that I can and I'll be posting more and more information in this thread but first comes that exegesis of why the earth cannot be a globe. Using math against the Round Earth (RE) is the easiest way to prove that it cannot be a sphere. It is purported that the curvature of the earth drops 8in every mile so that in two miles the earth drops 32in and 3 miles 72in. This is the math of a globe where distance drop = mile^2*8inches. So at 10 miles there is a 66 foot drop, at 50 1650' and at 100 miles there is a 1.6 miles drop.

Now lets examine our Earth given the above to be the mathematical truth of a RE. Have you been to Kansas? Kansas is ~430 miles across and flatter than a pancake. Kansas is .9997 flat and given what we know about the curvature of the earth this is impossible. Now go look up some pictures of the beautiful Salar de Uyuni a salt flat in Bolivia - this area is ~4000 sq miles with a surface variation of only one meter! Can you recall a time you stood and could clearly see ~50-100 miles into the distance? You'll recall seeing those objects (town, trees, base of mountain, etc) when they should clearly be well below the horizon. What is lying to you, your eyes?

You can go out and test out that the earth is not curved today with a long range laser pointer. Find a very flat location and put the laser a certain amount of feet above the ground and level, you'll find that the laser will be that distance above the earth for the entire range.

Let us now consider water and the evidence is sheds. Water always comes to a flat level rest yet for a RE to be true it must become convex and flow uphill. In the RE model the equator bulges at the center. The Nile river is 4200 miles long and for its last 1200 miles before emptying into the Mediterranean drops only two feet, there would be over a 12 mile descent given the bulge of the equator. Take for example the Mississippi, it would have to flow uphill over 11 miles over its distance of 3000 miles to be able to exit into the Gulf of Mexico!

How do you suppose lighthouses can be functional when after ~20 miles theyd be well below the horizon? The distance at which light can be seen at sea entirely disposes the idea what we are living on a ball. The Isle of Wight lighthouse in England is 180 feet high and can be seen up to 42 miles away, a distance at which modern astronomers say the light should fall 996 feet below line of sight. The Cape L’Agulhas lighthouse in South Africa is 33 feet high, 238 feet above sea level, and can be seen for over 50 miles. If the world was a globe, this light would fall 1,400 feet below an observer’s line of sight! The Statue of Liberty in New York stands 326 feet above sea level and on a clear day can be seen as far as 60 miles away. If the Earth was a globe, that would put Lady Liberty at an impossible 2,074 feet below the horizon! The lighthouse at Port Said, Egypt, at an elevation of only 60 feet has been seen an astonishing 58 miles away, where, according to modern astronomy it should be 2,182 feet below the line of sight! Another great example is the Notre Dame Antwerp spire standing 403 feet high from the foot of the tower with Strasburg measuring 468 feet above sea level. With the aid of a telescope, ships can be distinguished on the horizon and captains declare they can see the cathedral spire from an amazing 150 miles away. If the Earth were a globe, however, at that distance the spire should be an entire mile, 5,280 feet below the horizon!

Lets take to the sky and show how airplanes prove the earth to be flat. Imagine you are cruising along in a plane at 30000 feet, doesnt it feel nice and level? Well the curvature of a RE says you actually would have to be in constant descent to not fly straight off into space.

Now lets take the atmosphere into consideration. If the earth spins at 1000 mph west to east. Now our atmosphere apparently must rotate exactly with the earth as well all the way up to the boundary of space (karman line). Now the atmosphere must rotate even faster higher up to keep up with the lower rotating atmosphere. Why can we feel the slightest westward breeze but not the Earth’s incredible supposed 1,000 mph Eastward spin!? And how is it that the magic velcro of gravity is strong enough to drag miles of Earth’s atmosphere along, but weak enough to allow little bugs, birds, and planes to travel freely unabated in any direction? If the atmosphere must be moving at a tremendous speed to keep up with the rotation how can clouds and winds move in different directions?

First comes ridicule and denial...

Re: The biggest lie: Revisiting Heliocenticisim and a Flat Earth for the first time

I have to run out for a few hours and couldnt make the first post as long as I wanted but I wanted to put something out there to start the flame baiting. A couple quick things before I go.

The earth is a disc, there is no edge and this is how the sun works. It will be shown later that the sun is much closer to the earth than the laughable 93million miles.

This is how we can have circumnavigation. Note that historically no one has ever circumnavigated north to south because it is impossible.

My Uncle Sid was in the Flat Earth society. He always had that he knew that you knew that he knew glint in his eye. I didn't like him.

Lapka, RiverFenix is a known 'truther' and has the audacity to doubt mainstream narration of events like 9/11 and the moon landing.

@RiverFenix
IYO are the boundaries guarded ? I take it this means satellites are not real either ? How about the horizontal curving of the earth you see ?

RF,

how can a disc have no edge?

what do the last few hundred years of scientists gain from lying to everyone about the earth being spherical?

how do you reconcile pictures of earth from space that look nothing like the pictures of your "disc" and look obviously like a spherical earth?

what kind of drugs are you on?

lol, eagerly awaiting the explanation of how seasons work on disc earth. And why it's consistently colder at both the edge and the center.

Welp, judging from first pic he posted. Center and edge are always further from the sun. No idea what he's gonna say about the seasons tho.

I literally know nothing about navigation, astronomy, geometry and all that stuff, so I'm not gonna get into that. What I'm curious about is the reason for this conspiracy. Who wants us to believe the earth is round and why?

Re: The biggest lie: Revisiting Heliocenticisim and a Flat Earth for the first time

This is the most ridiculous theory of all theories that have ever existed in the truther community.

The plane argument just cracks me up. Planes maintain a constant altitude. If their altitude goes too high, there is less air, hence less lift, and the plane loses the ability to maintain altitude. It is literally impossible for a plane to just fly straight off into space.

For flat earth to work, trigonometry literally has to be a made up thing. You can prove, in your own backyard, what the curvature of the earth is and estimate its circumference. It's math, and math isn't wrong.

is just laughably and demonstrably false. I don't even know why I'm bothering replying tbh. It's the sheer arrogance/ignorance of the most basic of math and science that comes easily to even the dumbest of people (except flat earthers) that makes it grating to me.

RF, I'm not sure why you put any thought into this. It doesn't impact your life. The important thing is you're living on "earth". Trying to prove a ridiculous theory is a waste of time. Go do something productive.

Haha, missed that. So I guess that's indicating the sun is about the same size and distance from us as the moon? I hope he has a good explanation for wtf the sun is then because it's certainly not a ball of mostly hydrogen undergoing nuclear fusion at that size. Wait, are the sun and moon flat too?

Oh wait, I remember from previous conversations with RF that the moon isn't flat, it's a hollow, spherical spaceship. Nevermind.

Why are we revisiting the biggest lie? And how can it be for the first time if we are revisiting it?

Now THOSE are questions that NEED answering!!!
