Those Canadian cookies look pretty terrible. Also the box looks like it belongs in the 80s.

A quick google showed thin mints being number 1.

Rexx all the stuff ElD said. I've spent $80 already this season spanning 4 purchases

Girl scout cookie fans,

Now I know why a Girl Scout corrected me when I said "peanut butter patties". We were both right.

The whole thing is a sham. Parents do the selling. Like so many other things in USA#1, the idea was good.

Now it's twisted beyond recognition of what it was meant to be.

very fortunate to have the LITTLE BROWNIES in all three cities Ive lived in

My parents laughed in my face when I suggested they shill my school's cookies/giftwrap/chocolate. I think I sold 2 units in 5 years combined.

People are pretty shameless this time of year...I've been walking through farmers' markets and there will be girl scouts pulling a wagon full of cookies through the market selling while the vendors who are paying money to be there look on in horror.

Some will even set up a table on the periphery of the market (so not actually part of the market, but close enough to take advantage of the assemblage of prospective customers).

There was a mom driving her daughter's around a truck stop last year knocking on doors. I assume they made a killing.

But you're also running the risk of being the victim of one amirite?

Probably so, but are you sure they were selling cookies?

Yeah, I bought some cookies. If you know what I mean.

The worst thing about Michigan is the human trafficking.

Probably the rampant sexual assault

Rexx,

I get them mostly for the FAM, but stick to the basics: Caramel Delites, Thin Mints & Peanut Butter(cookie, not choc covered one.)

Did notice I was charged $4 and $5, I think the $5 moms tacked on a buck.

Thin mints are best eaten from the freezer.

When explorers first brought back dead platypuses the royal society refused to believe the it was a real animal and accused them of stitching together parts of other animals.

This is an animal that is so amazing that scientists simply didn't believe it could be real.

I mean granted they were dopey olden-times scientists, but still.

The platypus is proof that aliens did genetic engineering before creating humans.

there's an old arcade around here that's legit creepy as hell. it used to have state of the art arcades and antique parlor games for decoration. the good games have been sold off over time and since the owner died it's become pretty lame. i was checking it out a year or so ago and took a closer look at the parlor games which all seem to have innuendo. one of them had a mural on the side that was supposed to be a to-do list at an old ****ed up psych ward, said something like "meds $20, dinner $2, circumcision $5". later on i noticed in the back corner was a painting of a man "Dr. (something)" and his name matched the nurses name on the circumcision request and i decided to play some pinball to wash out the weird happenings before leaving.

I'm very glad you asked.

Scientists generally use "platypuses" or simply "platypus". Colloquially, the term "platypi" is also used for the plural, although this is technically incorrect and a form of pseudo-Latin; the correct Greek plural would be "platypodes".
