One of my good friends died at 17 because he was wearing a seat belt.

He went off the road, down an embankment, flipped his car, landed upside down in a creek and drowned.

There were 2 passengers in the car that were able to get out but he couldn't get the seat belt to unbuckle. They tried to release the seat belt but they said the button was jammed/wouldn't release and they had to sit there and watch him drown. The emergency people also couldn't get it undone and had to cut the belt to get him out.

His family ended up suing the car maker and settled out of court for low 8 figures.

He didn't die because he was wearing his seatbelt. He died because he crashed his car into a creek and the seatbelt was defective.

I'm not going to argue the point but he would have walked away from the wreck 99.999999999% of the time if he wasn't wearing a seat belt.

It was a minor wreck and none of them had any injuries.

So, seatbelts are bad.

You should all have a seatbelt cutter in your cars just fyi.

My gf is uncomfortable and won't admit it but terrified of one of her co-workers. This person is fairly new and it's all a bunch of small stuff that doesn't necessarily sound like much on paper but body language is incredibly abnormal and erratic.

Social skills of a sheltered child, weird abrupt conversation about nothing

Buys a sandwich, furiously throws half away out of nowhere, causing a scene... Then casually sits down and eats the other half???

Bought cookies, proceeded to bring them to his desk and grind then in to each other until there was nothing left and crumbs all over the entire desk and surrounding area.
"What happened?"
"Yeah. Sometimes I just screw really easy things up."

Someone asked him to get paper towels and clean it up,he says ok, five minutes later is seen sitting at his desk, still a disgusting mess and when confronted he has zero recollection of the conversation.
Then flips out and says "I forget stuff"

Her company sounds like it is entirely filled with enabling morons who may rather watch their staff die than take action but now several people have commented to her about this stuff. I sorta lashed out at her for being so nonchalant about doing... Something. But I dunno. What is the actual best course of action?

Only important factor is whether or not she is hot?

You guys really just say nothing unless it escalates? I told her talk to HR. Not usually advice I give but I figure at the very least she has a record saying she went to somebody, and I don't really see how they can pin it on her when she has several people coming up to her personally.
