Im talking about Xiao Long Bao in case that was unclear. It had never even crossed my mind to attempt to cut the tops off and add chili paste to the broth inside lol

Yeah, that's not how diets work. You need to focus on changing your normal lifestyle. Otherwise you just put the 40 pounds straight back on within a month or so.

Sounds fine to me. I prefer just black vinegar or vinegar+soy sauce, but I have some relatives who use chili paste as well.

Cheese Update!

I only have about an ounce of can #1 left. I've been having it for breakfast every morning (1.3ish ounces) along with a honey crisp apple and either turkey or eggs. mmmmm that comes to about 450 calories and about 35 grams of protein...and keeps me so full I don't eat a lot for lunch.

Son came home this weekend and loooooooved the cheese. I gave him a big chunk to take home. Then on Sunday when I went to visit Mama I brought her a bunch sliced up and she loved it soooo much. I left her a tupperware full of slices.

Then this morning I was like fawwwk I'm at the end. I'm munching on it now and probably have less than an ounce for tomorrow. *sad* Of course I do have another can in the fridge.

Bottom line everyone loved except my sister who was ambivalent.

Bad Employee Update!

He brought in a doctor's note that said because of his ADHD it would be good for him to work only 9-5 with no lunch.

I emailed one of the new owners, showed her the letter and said I recommended either a 15 minute or 30 minute break each day. She said no, lets try the no break or lunch at all, as he wants.

So that was Monday. On Tuesday he left at noon for about 20 minutes and today I swung by his area at 9:10 and he wasn't there yet. *eyeroll*

No we don't keep a close eye on people's time like that. Usually they do their work and their time is never an issue.

I'm keep track this week only and tracking his **** ups so that next week I can say that we tried it, but I don't think it's working out.

Dunkin Update!

I got charged .86 cents for yesterday's $4.50ish coffee and gave him $2 tip. I'm just going to keep doing that and not say anything I guess. Yay me.

I do not personally use chili paste on xiaolongbao. Its not really a dim sum dish. You might find it at a dim sum restaurant but I probably won't order it from there.

Quickest way to lose weight: Eat a diet of mostly protein, fruits, veggies. No bread, pasta, pizza, processed foods or at least keep those as close to zero as possible.

Then...stock your house with foods that fit the above parameter and plan what you're going to eat.

Then track it on My fitness pal so you can see what's going on.

Then walk 10,000 steps per day. Walking is the best exercise for dropping pounds if done consistently. Walk before work, during lunch and after work.

I've lost a lot more than 40lbs that way.

My diet advice is to be slightly hungry a lot of the time and never anything beyond just not hungry. Beyond that, something that fills your stomach but has almost no calories is good for some temporary hunger relief.

Josie: thanks for the advice from what I know about nutrition it’s very solid and that’s exactly what I’m doing. Not walking quite 10k steps but have been doing 1.5hrs per day in the gym too. Working well so far, only been 5 days and already dropped 8lbs. Hope I can keep it up.
