Didace= Did. Ace.

Eeeh good luck Josie. Anyway they can set time limits for the amount of time it takes to put each design into Revit and fire him based on performance when he doesn't hit the deadlines? Why didn't they hire an intern to do this job? Should be max $20/hr job nowadays. I got paid $15/hr to do the same thing as an intern back in the day.

My boss called me a millinniall during a discussion about her micromanaging and I have never felt more offended...I'm 34. She made the statement, "yeah, I've realized you millennials like to work independently"

If someone called me a millinniall I'd punch them in the face.

Born in 84 or 85 is pretty clearlly a Millennial. The gray area between Gen X and Millennial is ~ 1977-1982.

The problem is dumb people using "Millennial" as a synonym for younger adults. People graduating college now are post-Millennial/Gen Z/Whatever they're going to call it.

I think we should use "Millenial" to mean 20-something who still needs their hand held etc.. In 20 or 30 years people won't even think about it as having to do with the millennium. Then someone will bump that "obvious stuff you just realized" thread.

We do have interns as well but he’s supposed to be a step above them, and yeah he makes a lot more than $20 per hr. The project he is on, designing a new courthouse in York Maine, just got delayed for at least 6 months so we shall see what he’s going to be doing. Regardless, his work will be well supervised.

Millennial long ago lost whatever initial meaning it had in favor of the current meaning: whiny ass avocado-toast-eating little *****.

For anyone confused about Didace, his origin story has been recorded here for posterity.

Yup.

York ME wants a 55 million dollar courthouse but has a 40 million dollar budget, hence the delay. We can value engineer it (remove cool features) down to 40mill but they don’t want that. They’re trying to get more funding.

I have nothing to do w staffing but my guess is he’ll be on a condo bldg for a Boston developer. Or a dorm hall for BU.

Ate some USA#1 fake "chinese" food yesterday, for the first time in a very long time. Obv had General Tso's as it doesn't get any faker than that. Pretty sure it was half sugar by ingredient weight. So delightful.

I don't get cheddar dropping in the rankings so much for burgers vs. deli sandwiches.
