I am pleased to report that Cougar Gold is a solid cheese. Sharp enough to have a bit of a bite, but not overwhelming. About the right texture. Goes well with crackers and salami.

The only downside is that it is a LOT of cheese. If I have a heart attack this month, please blame LKJ.

Have any of you tried this cheese from Costco? If so, how does it compare to the Cougar Gold? This is my favorite cheese atm and has been for quite a while.

No, I haven't tried that but I'm guessing it's the same ball park. Aged, only a lil crumbly, sharp aged flavor but still smooth....mmmm

I think the Cougar Gold is similar to Kerry Gold Reserve Cheddar, which I buy at Stop & Shop.
