Eh, Action can be grating but he seems pretty self-aware and doesn't take himself seriously. I dig his stuff.

For food travelogues, I tend to ignore most of the personalities and commentary unless if they are super annoying and just focus on the food, the places they go to, and the cinematography.

If you guys dont mind subtitles, recently watched a bit of the Korean variety show, Battle Trip. Minor celebrities compete in food based trip planning. Here is a snippet but complete episodes are also on youtube.

Eli the Computer Guy used to do good IT instructional videos.

His older ones are still good for introducing concepts.

Now he just seems to do live stream rants about YouTube and other you tubers.

If I weren't married, I would go to find this girl right now. Thanks to JL for recommending.

If you love food you want to check out strictly dumpling. He eats alot so he can cover more than one place at the time so you get a wide variety of meals covered each time.

For the older crowd i would like to recomend this guy that does book reviews and current events.

Sputnik,

I like strictly dumpling.

I also find it weird that so many of these food bloggers don’t drink. I don’t mean not drink as part of their videos, but just not drink in life.

I was mind blown when I read an article on Andrew Zimmerman, the bizarre foods guy, that he was a recovering drug and alcohol addict and has been clean for 20 plus years. I would have sworn that he would drank in episodes that I had watched. But after watching reruns he indeed never drinks.

Good observation. Maybe they edit the drinking out.

ReviewBrah's the exception. He actually drinks free water from Starbucks, and sometimes even drinks coffee from there, just like another vlogger whose name I can't and won't mention.

I've only seen Mark Wiens drink exactly once, and that was because the plate that he was using had a hole from which he could hang bottled soda from, and he was trying to explain how to use it.

Strictly Dumpling eats soup a lot. Maybe, the soup constitutes the drinking part.

Does one eat or drink soup? I had a friend whose first language wasn't English say "drink" and I thought that sounded wrong, but "eat" also sounds inaccurate. I'm leaning toward eat.

Reg: I was talking about alcohol, which a number of them specifically talk about not being into. But you’re right about just drinking beverages too!

TT: eat

I don't watch many recorded vlogs, but do watch IRL streams which should count as they basically become vlogs once the stream ends.

Ice Poseidon's streams are the most consistent/entertaining.

Hampton Brandon has the most entertaining personality but he flew too close to the sun and has been banned from youtube for a few months. He's been back on Ice's streams and will hopefully get his channel back soon. He's probably best known for getting hit by a car but sometimes he just gets in strangers cars and sings with them.

Andy Milonakis does some solid travel/LA food scene streams. Mostly he's kind of a sane older sage to the other LA streamers.

Chinese people use drink since soup is usually just liquid, but eat is probably right in English since there's usually things in there to eat.

Edit: Said it outloud a few times and now I think saying drinking soup is fine, but when you name the soup eating seems correct. I.e. "I was drinking soup" but "I was eating chicken noodle soup".

Xlz,

Even if it’s a bowl of liquid soup with nothing in it, it’s still eat because here we eat soup with a spoon.

Vlog watchers,

Does anyone else find the food rangers voice really creepy? I still really like his videos tho.

The friend in question was Turkish, and although I love their food I'm not familiar with their soups. I'm going to be accepting of both eating and drinking soup but defaulting to using "eat", personally.

Coyote Peterson. He does all kinds of fun animal encounters and lets himself get bitten/stung by the most painful creatures on earth. I like his goofy earnestness, and how he makes sure to return even bugs to their original homes.
