With Youtube now becoming one of the major sources of entertainment and information in today's world, I thought I'd start a friendly discussion thread about the regular content providers of this great platform - the Youtube Vloggers. Who are your favorite Youtube vloggers and what are your favorite Youtube channels?

Here are some of my favorites:

Casey Neistat

Here is Casey's latest vlog entry: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=og3aFSeEm94

Neistat is a great all around lifestyle vlogger. He covers product reviews, does a lot of travelling, gets personal sometimes, and gives life advice from time to time.

Mark Wiens

Here is my all time favorite Mark Wiens vlog: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z-tCeaeLm3E

The topic of the above particular video upload is a Mexican restaurant that serves "insane lamb pit barbacoa". If that video does not get your mouth watering I don't know what would. The great news is that it is only the tip of the iceberg. Wiens travels the whole world to eat the most delicious local cuisine imaginable. Greece, Singapore, China, New York, Italy, Portugal. He has been everywhere.

Sam Chui

Sam is a high end traveler who loves being inside the airplane rather than be on land. Here he is riding Emirates Airlines First Class which can cost as high as $21,000 one way!!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nSOG99qClU8

Elle of the Mills

I don't know how to categorize this Canadian girl's videos. But they are extremely well edited and entertaining. Here is Elle's latest vlog: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tl4I1b6cHKc

Elle was recommended by Casey Neistat himself.

I follow many other vloggers from all walks of life. How about you? Who are your favorite Youtube channels and vloggers? Please do share? I will continue to share the updates of my other favorite Youtube channels/vloggers too.

Reg,

Outstanding OP, this is what OOT needs.

Casey Neistat is great, I'll check out the others.

I'll contribute some of my favorites later.

I am really shocked there wasn't already a thread on this. I just assumed it had already been done but OOT was too cool for it.

Anastesia

Young, pretty, French. I look in on her from time to time because she does such heartfelt videos about being young, pretty and French.

Jenna Moreci

Bay Area writer who does writing how-to videos.

Found her recently because I'm laid off again. My gf says I write pretty well and I should use my time to get serious about it. Also young and pretty.

Hand to God, I don't only sub to young, pretty vloggers.

I don't watch makeup application videos, for instance. As far as you know.

Awesome thread OP!

I always just stumble onto a blog, it's nice to see some recommendations

I watch a lot of different "Van Life" bloggers, but I'm excited to check out some of the ones posted here.

I follow agadmator and Mark Wiens. I wish Mark would not do the exact same ****ing face for every single thing he eats though. Still enjoyable.

Actually, Mark has a different response for each level of enjoyment he gets from each bite.

Closed eyes, smile, and head tilt if it tastes super awesome.

Look at the camera, head nod, smile, and say hmmmm when its good or great.

Look at the camera, head nod, and immediately make a comment when it's okay.

I think he edits out all of his negative responses.

Mark knows some foodies with some real connections. His food tour with The Hungry Tourist goes to some of the harder to book places in Tokyo. Sushi Arai is getting really hard to book. I did manage to reserve at Sumbiyakiniku Nakahara.

In a similar vein, Simon and Martina's videos on Sushi Saito and Kitcho Arashiyama are outstanding.

The hobo girl is cute as heck. I believe a Vegas car dweller named Bikeking19 studied her videos. I can't figure out her ethnicity.

I'm gonna check out that prison food channel. I've always been curious about that subject.

Reg,

If you’re thinking about maybe ending up in prison, I’d check out the other guy first. He focuses on ways to not get your cheeks busted. After you got that covered, cooking skills def handy!

I'm subscribed to about 115 YouTube channels, but my hands down favorite Vlogger is TheReportOfTheWeek a.k.a. Reviewbrah. I don't think there is anyone on Earth more interesting.

If you want a good chess video channel, the Chessbrah channel is three young grandmasters living the young single life in Montreal playing super fast chess all the time and often features blitz matches vs top players in the world including Magnus, Nakamura, and Caruana:

lol damn, I like Munchies (particularly the Chef's Night Out ones) but cannot *stand* Matheson. I think it's his voice. Or general appearance and demeanor.

See Reg, this is where you just can't ****ing help yourself...

For those not aware, Registered was one of the loony posters from the poker vloggers thread in LVL that was recently exiled from the thread for being a weirdo.

He made this thread in OOT in part to troll me, but the fact is it is a pretty good thread idea. But now as you can see, Reg can't control himself.

He is also on multiple accounts. We'll see how this plays out, but it will probably be him just getting all his accounts lit up because he can't control himself.

No poker in OOT Reg...

Crazy Russian Hacker, obv. And I say obv because he has over 10 million subscribers, over 3 million on his secondary channel, Taras Kul.
https://www.youtube.com/user/CrazyRussianHacker
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCkD...6CIRZuyW9sZK1g

King of Random, who makes all kinds of crazy stuff, like arc welders from old busted microwaves. Be warned, if you are the kind of male that can't spend less than 45 minutes in Home Depot even if you only go in to buy a nail, don't start watching this guy until Friday night.
https://www.youtube.com/user/01032010814

Then there are guys that 99.83% of people on this site won't like, like The Social Regressive and Demolition Ranch.

I don't know how many in here like the subject of Stoic Philosophy, but this cute girl is a really really good teacher of the subject:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hppaby9P3-U

The above is about emotional control the way Epictetus and Marcus Aurelius taught them in Roman times. Just as relevant today.

She also has a playlist on game theory which I haven't seen yet...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2G-v...yjrs_1NUh7AQDC

I haven't seen this yet, to be honest. But the comments seem to be good and the likes to dislikes ratio is very good.

p.s. Hey, 27offsuit!!! Okay, NO poker content in this thread from me!!!

p.s. Anyone out there can recommend vlogs on entrepreneurship and online businesses? Some links would be appreciated.

My last job was servicing inmate phone systems in jails and prisons.

Not the best job but very interesting working conditions.

I despise the industry and the way inmates are squeezed for insane per minute rates on calls. Check out the company Securus for some stories.

However, inmates use the phones continually. It really messes up their program when a phone is down. I felt like Santa Claus when I'd show up to do a repair. That part was quite satisfying.

I worked a few times in Attica! Attica! Attica! It was intimidating but fascinating.

Thankfully I have no experience with prisons, but if jail wasn't jail we'd be calling it a scam on lower income individuals. The jail I was in DOESN'T SEASON THE FOOD but lets inmates buy dime salt packets at the commissary.

The phone system is weird. You can basically use the phone any time you want -- dudes spend hours on the phone -- but you can't just pick up and dial. Someone on the outside has to buy a special number for you to call ... fees on everything, money for edible food, lucrative contracts for the ****tiest facility supplies ... Sorry. /derail

A vlog on jail food would be dull.
