Nick Vatterott is brilliant. I saw him a couple years ago and I was laughing til I cried.

I just finished Stewart Lee's Comedy Vehicle season 3 and found myself crying with laughter during some bits

6 nice 25 minute stand up bites, I recommend a watch

I can see how he may be an acquired taste though

birbiglia was great

noticed Jeff Garlin and Richard Lewis are both in NYC next week. I have never seen stand up by either. Thoughts?

Patton Oswalt's latest will be October 17th on Netflix. Considering his last year, and what he said about this particular special, I'm expecting it to be a very crushing, but hilarious special. But you wouldn't know that from the trailer.

outside of CYE I've never been a big fan of either of their stand up acts. But then again, i have never seen either of them live and I can't remember any recorded stand up from either of them in the last 10 years or so. Would have higher hopes for Jeff Garlin being funny if u needed to choose between the 2.

I saw something by Garlin a couple years ago, it wasn't very good.

Hey fellas, there's an annual show in NYC called "Schtick or Treat" where comics perform as famous comics. This year, I did a take on Mitch Hedberg. Instead of a straight impression, I wrote a set as if Mitch was a narc....Snitch Hedberg.

Here it is!

Seeing TJ Miller tonight with Nick Vatterott and Rhys Darby. No idea what to expect.

Well that was nothing like what I expected.

Vatterott was the MC and was terrible. 2/10. If I never see him again it'll be too soon.

Darby was interesting. 7/10 give or take, had some great moments. Has some sharp timing and great delivery. The substance of his bits are just lacking.

TJ Miller was the real surprise to me. He's not crazy polished, but he was excellent overall. Really smart guy, didn't realize how much until tonight. Super physical comedy and faces, some overall decent bits, and then excellent crowd work. I could see him getting better with time and becoming elite.

Thanks guys! Someone posted the video to ebaumsworld and it got featured on their front page, so I got a ton of views but their trolls have been writing brutal comments and downvoting it on youtube. I didn't even know that site still existed!

Speaking of crowd work, going to see Ian Bagg this Friday. His crowd work is awesome, looking forward to this.

It's not a big secret that Louis liked to jerk it in front of people. Those stories have been around for several years.

so far from what i've read it seems to me that louis asked women if he could jerk off if they said no he didn't pursue but several women said yes and or didn't say no and didn't get up and leave even when freely able to but sat and laughed and then left when it was over.

so is he a creep and a weirdo? yes. which shouldn't be a shock to anyone seeing as thats the basis of his entire stand up career.

but is he a sexual predator? doesn't seem like it to me.

if i'm misunderstanding the situation or missing something please correct me.

i take a pretty hard line against sexual assault but this seems like a smear campaign.

they're trying to make him out to be another cosby.

So hypothetically, if your boss calls you in to his office and asks if you will watch him masturbate, you don't see anything wrong with that?

This seems about right,
Definitely weird, but that comedy scene is dark as ****. Obv no excuse for abuse, and abuse of power, if that in fact happened though....

He asked, some said no. Some were wierded out, but it seems at no stage did he force anyone to stay, get between them and the door, and looks like everyone/anyone was free to leave at any point.

Thing is, the first reaction is to wince and cringe at the idea of it all, but they are grown, and if its all consented, then wgaf.

If he used his power over vulnerable and aspiring comedians wanting to ladder up, and or if he forced them to sit and watch then he should be called out and held accountable

Of course he used his power. He was a producer on The Chris Rock Show and asked a subordinate employee to watch him masturbate on company time and premises.

In the late ’90s, she was working in production at “The Chris Rock Show” when Louis C.K., a writer and producer there, repeatedly asked her to watch him masturbate, she said. She was in her early 20s and went along with his request, but later questioned his behavior.
