Was she there the same night as me? I forget. That was a fun show, I wanna do it again!

Another that I'll be rooting for is Harrison Greenbaum. Nice guy, great joke writer, and he's a magician too!

#33 is a crybaby who is jealous of anybody who has success
#36 hosted a few shows I have been on
#39 is a good friend of mine who I actually hired to be in a few shows.

I've been on shows and festivals with Candy Lawrence, Noah Gardenswartz, Ms Pat, Rob Haze, and David Tveite. Of those, my favorite is Candy Lawrence but she is super weird and doesn't really fit the format at all.

Greg Warren stands out as an absolute ringer. The guy has been doing late night spots for a decade. He had a Comedy Central presents like 8 years ago. Way to discover new talent NBC...sigh. He is a lock to go deep.

I'll call it now. Joe List is by far the funniest comic on the show.

I mentioned #3 Ian Bagg earlier ITT. He is great with crowd work, not sure how that can even be incorporated at all into the format so doubt he gets far. Higholy recommend seeing him live if you can.

Last night is pretty much why I stopped doing comedy. Those comics were horrible. There were maybe 1 or 2 that I laughed at and the rest were meh. Mehran did he even tell a joke? That chick at the end throws in a liberal social joke that has nothing to do with her act, and im so glad that Norm called her out for it. That show is such a sham.

What indoor theater are you going to? It's at starlight. That's definitely an outdoor venue.

Todd Barry Crowd work special was kinda meh.. there were some good moments but it would've been much better if he just recorded 1 entire show from start 2 finish. The minute you get into the flow of his set they cut to BS clips of him backstage/ on the road.

it's just such an awful format for comedy, and i dont know anyone in comedy who doesnt agree, but the exposure is an unfortunate necessity of the world
Agreed. The show is such AIDS. Yeah, Greg Warren and Ian Bagg have been doing it forever and are pretty big already. It's so weird to see them on, it was like when Gabriel Iglesias and Kathleen Madigan were on. wtf.

The most uncomfortable part of the show (and probably most reality competition shows) are the judges' comments. Even Norm isn't coming across very well. Does he seem kind of old and out of it to anyone else? (I ****ing love Norm btw so it pains me to say that) All 3 of them come across frankly out of touch with the world of stand up comedy, as far as the art form, not the business of it. I mean geez, has Keenan Ivory Wayans even done stand up in the past 20 ****ing years? Who in the world gives a **** what he has to say about stand up comedy? Ugh.

Damn, went to three shows last night at JFLMTL including one Off JFL show like Louis is pictured in, but never saw him. Would have been amazing to see him in such an intimate venue.

Got to see JB Smoove tho who was excellent and during Dhanny Boy's set he actually had one girl removed from the audience during the intermission due to her distracting laugh. Her laugh was unlike anything I've ever heard resulting in people laughing at her laugh rather than his jokes throughout his first 45 minute set. He'd tell a joke and this girl would go off, so there would be a laugh followed by a second roar of laughter from the audience due to her laugh. Can't say I blame him for doing it, but pretty hilarious to be booted for laughing at a comedy show.

New Jim Norton on Netflix is hilarious. The first 15 minutes are a bit whatever but once you make it past that, it's gold.

I've never found Norton funny at all, is it different than his usual shtick of just trying to be gross/lewd?
