Oh wow! Got a link?

That's odd to hear, I was incredibly impressed his "what" stand-up on netflix, looked like a ton of work.

If you like crowd work check out Ian Bagg, have seen him twice at the local Improv and he is great working some of the audience into his shows.

I'm very interested in how this show is. Mulaney was such a horrid show, and he's such a great standup. Hoping his focus is on point, cause I'd love to hear new material from him.

I'm glad to hear mulaney is getting back out there. I was fearful he'd pack it in after his show, because his two specials are two of my absolute favorites

Mulaney was great. Stronger material than his Netflix special IMO . Also a nice mix of shorter jokes, crowd work and longer stories. Pacing felt like a Jim Jeffries special with barrage of shorter jokes in to medium length story based joke in to a longer story at the end except with more crowd work during transitions. Me and my wife laughed really hard and my wife remarked that her face hurt afterwards.

So, about that "With Bob And David" taping...

First off, lets be clear. Its Mr. Show, plain and simple. I know they can't call it that, and I actually thought it might be a little different, but its exactly the same (in a good way), down the entire cast. And they were pretty much all there. Some sketches were good, some great, some not so good. Pretty standard.

As amazing as the experience was to see this be filmed, the coolest part was the people seated in the "Friends and Family section." Kumail Nanjiani, Derrick Waters, Mae Whitman, Brie Larson and a few others I can't remember the names of. And the clear winner of the night:

Paul F Tompkins was the "host" for the evening. I've been a fan for many years and have all of his specials and albums. He's known for having the best riffs in the game. And having now seen him do a night of riffing, I feel pretty confident saying that PFT might be the funniest wittiest guy on the planet. Just freaking phenomenal. He's taping a special in June I'm hoping I can make it to.

Yeah, I'm a big fan of Mulaney but his sitcom was downright terrible.

Just bought two tickets to see Jim Jefferies later this year. The 7:30pm show was already limited on seats so went with the 10:30pm show. Now I'm thinking that might have been dumb because most people will be wasted by then. Oh well.

that can be a bad thing but i'd say more often than not it's good. ******s at a jim show could certainly be the exception tho.

When I saw Jim in Milwaukee a couple months ago, he got drunk by the end, screwed up a joke then just started making fun of people in the audience. It was fantastic.

For anyone who has seen him recently, the joke he screwed up:

Spoiler:
The one about the 3 triplets. He messed up their names and by the end goes, "**** the one that died was named Destiny."

thanks ya would def appreciate that PM.
really want to go but not if I've seen all the material.

I saw him at the Hollywood improv after the bare special aired so was all new material but it was right after so not sure how much of the very rough/new stuff he was working on he's still doing.

Saw Todd barry last week at the arlington draft house. Great show, he is really a master at delivering with his pace and energy and he had some really amazing riffs when people gave him **** answers to crowd work questions.

Saw Rory scovel a few weeks before at the dc improv, was good at times, but nowhere near the level as the first time I'd seen him. Maybe he's just getting into it again/starting a new hour, but he really didn't have many jokes. It was a fun, but forgettable show.

I saw Todd Barry at that same venue a few years ago and it was just as great of a show, one of the most surprising, didnt really know who he was went for random reasons and was quite pleasantly surprised.
