I think he's slightly off with his delivery somehow - like a little too subtle or something - not sure which clip I watched - he was talking about before and after weight loss pictures - I feel the audience missed some of his under the breath jabs.

Thought it was pretty good, have only seen him on podcasts before. Maybe it's just his style but I thought he was noticeably nervous.

New Joe List special on YouTube was awesome. Best one I've seen since Shane Gillis.

absolutely convinced now that adam sandler film about being a famous comic who's dying of cancer and didn't want to tell anyone is about norm as the only thing that made it not fit was the timeline but that timeline was based on norm's most recent cancer

I just saw what you guys posted. Netflix to release a special that Norm Mcdonald did privately at home before his death? Norm Macdonald: Nothing Special. Gives me goosebumps to think about it. Must see TV.

Watched Norm's "Nothing Special" done at home with no audience the day before his final day. Mixed bag of topics. Last half of it he talked about mortality. He didnt show any nervousness or hesitation for presenting one hour of new material. It didnt look like he was reading anything. After the special a group of famous comedians commented on the special. Very interesting to hear their opinions and insights, too. Sad to see him gone.

Stavros Halkias might have the funniest special on Youtube right now. I highly recommend it if you haven't seen it yet.

YouTube seems to be the best place for new standup specials. I do hope that more of them end up getting bought by Netflix after YouTube so they can rake that dough in. Ali Siddiq’s latest is really good as well.

Any way to squeeze out some of the middlemen is great. Mariah and Whitney got raped, literally and figuratively as 18 year olds along with many other performers. Reducing that number, even if it means giving more money to our google overlords, is a good thing.

Exactly!!

Chris Distefano’s situation was extra nice because they refused for awhile and when they started negotiating, he was able to tell no to everything they asked him to do. Then bought it anyway!

Was excited for Burr's new special on Netflix, but it sucks. It's just him as host inviting up a bunch of dusters. Could've figured it out if I read the title, but was disappointed. Seems like Davidson has something similar, not that I was that excited for a Davidson set to begin with.

burr was hilarious for the very brief time he was on stage and then every single other comedian was horrible. HORRIBLE.

Who else was on it? I know that Netflix had a huge festival at the Hollywood Bowl recently but I’m guessing this ain’t that. I do hope they show some of that though. I’ve seen some clips and they were great!

I enjoyed Michelle and Jimmy up front and then turned it off immediately when the next female comics first line was about airing out her vag.

Googled it to see the line-up. First thing to pop up was this pretty brutal review

Bill Burr Presents: Friends Who Kill review – an unfunny waste of time

That review is a waste of time written by someone who has no business reviewing comedy.

How the **** can you be reviewing comedy and never heard of Michelle Wolf before????

I agree that after Jimmy Carr and Wolf that special was TERRIBLE but that "review" was written by the exact type of person Carr was talking about in his bit, overly sensitive *******s who think you can't joke about serious subjects.

I'm a Steph Tolev fan now after that special, what can I say. Look she's a one trick pony, I get it. But it's been a long time since I chick had me glued to the set almost in fits of discomfort/horror/laughing/astonishment.

She's like Dice with a dick, with a bit of Rodney D in her. I'm curious to see the evolution. Maybe it goes nowhere, but maybe she gets really good.

oh I put this in the wrong thread before:

All those acceptance speeches for John Stewart's Mark Twain award are very much worth watching. Look them up. Chapelle, Carell, Munn, Davidson, few others

Yeah John had some classic moments. I woke the Mrs up the second time Chapelle rocked the joke about him running for president. I was rather surprised how funny I few of the others truly were.
