^ Same here. The show she wrote before with the two waitresses I found annoying too, but ran for what, 6 seasons?

He strikes me as the type of comedian that is constantly funny, he doesn't need a setup to make a joke.
That type is more suited to podcasts and interviews, they throw away more material than many comics can come up with in a year.

Guy who watches everything Mark Norman does decides his special was ok. Is he attell? Clearly not, but he brings the laughs at that tempo. That was a great special dude sorry you heard all the jokes before on your nerdy podcast.

Speaking of Attell, if I had to pick a single comedy special as the best ever, I'd go with Attell's Road Work. Absolutely hilarious, a master at the top of his game.

Wtf?

I liked his special, but like I said, I've heard a majority of this material since I've seen a lot of his stuff.

Sorry I didn't appreciate it to your liking.

Skanks for the Memories is just an ol sentimental favorite of mine, although the ******ed kids with the dolphin bit in Roadwork is top notch Attell.

Have to admit that I was a bit worried about Oswalts but it was really good!! And Stanhope’s was just wonderfully viscous as always!!

oh I forgot about Oswalt's tonight. I like his comedy and he should have been featured more on King of Queens!

I'll get to it later today!

Most people haven't heard everything mark Norman said the last three years. For those that haven't it's a great watch. You poo pooing it cause you have is super lame. Especially considering you obv enjoy his style and delivery.

Skanks for the memories was great. Haven't seen a video version (if there is one?). Road work was also awesome, Atell one of the best ever. Norman's quick style reminds me of him though.

I never thought he was really funny- he was ok in small doses on KOQ.

I just tried watching this new special and turned it off after 15 minutes. It's awful.

Tip: Watching it on mute vastly improves it.

Hot rumor is that Viacom is going to dissolve Comedy Central in the near future.

Wonder how that is going to affect stand-up comedy specials and showcasing new talent to the masses or has social media already bypasses networks in that area.

Comedy Central is a master class in how to drive a channel into the ground.

They spent years screwing over stand up comics by giving uncensored versions of their specials extremely limited availability online and burying airings of them on the channel in the middle of the night. Once Netflix and Amazon started producing specials they were only going to get up and coming comics desperate to get material out there any way possible.

They let the best talent from the Daily Show go to other networks and the ones they did give a shot at filling the Colbert spot, they never gave a chance to find their footing and develop a following.

It's also been years since they put a decent new show in the half hour behind New episodes of South Park. I think the last successful show that came out of that spot was Workaholics.

Corporate is a solid show on CC too but I agree with overall sentiment. Adams House Party was probably last good attempt at getting new comics into the network and it wasnt even CCs effort.

If I pull up CC on demand with Fios the few specials I see are from years ago and hardly funny people. They could do much better.

I thought Patton Oswalt's latest comedy special on Netflix was decently funny.

Assume she just steals other people's recipes and passes them off as her own?

Didn’t Burr have a deal producing half hours on CC or something like that? Or was it a different network?

He's part of ATC (All things comedy) a media company that has podcasts and some standup.

Not really sure who runs the thing, I just know he hosts the Bill Bert podcast with Burnt Chrysler, its no 2 bears 1 cave, buts its ok.
