Saw Hannah Gadsby recently, had no idea who she was going in but apparently she had one of the most successful Netflix specials last year.

Was absolutely terrible, avoid at all costs unless listening to an angry lesbian rant against straight male privilege is your idea of a good time.

I saw her in New Zealand, the country that was the first in the world to give women the vote, has a women as Prime Minister (with a Maori deputy) and has had more women leaders in the last 40 years than men. She's ranting against a culture that simply isn't that prevalent here anymore.

She also had several lame Louis CK jokes which were just the icing on the cake of an awful night out.

The Adrienne Iapalucci episode of The Degenerates on Netflix was absolutely incredible. So damn dark and funny. Topics include Michael Jackson, R. Kelly, and school shootings.

Yeah she's definitely an aquired taste and very niche. Took a little bit for me to come around. But now I really appreciate her skill.

I absolutely love her work!! I was impressed with her CCP from way back, before Comedians of Comedy, but it took the “Unwanted Thoughts Syndrome” album to all come together for me. Everything since has been excellent. New one as well!!

I watched one of her specials where she did like a full set, but her only audience was her parents in their living room. I found it strange, but she is very endearing.

She also takes randoms out to lunch in cities she is playing in and bounces bits off of them and gets feedback.

Watched the Pete Davidson Netflix special and thought it was OK.. nothing great. outside of him talking about Louis CK trying to get him fired and Ariana Grande the jokes were just mildly amusing.

Was decent for a 1st stand up special. I think she is funny and has a unique comedic voice, but hopefully in the future she can get past needing to talk almost exclusively about her sexuality. Would hate to see her become the "gay fluffy."

If that's all she can joke about, then she will find herself becoming a hack "one topic comic" that has zero appeal outside her niche target audience.
