I like it. At times, it felt like "What if Steven Wright was the kind of guy who keeps kidnapped sex slaves in his basement".
It does seem like Jeselnik takes a bit too much time to wink at the audience and reassure them that he is playing a character, so that they don't hate themselves for laughing at his jokes.
