Randomly caught Michael Che's special again and it was still great. Any recommendations on most similar comedians?

Saw a few of their new songs. They still got it.

I've seen some of their stuff before but I can't say I was ever a fan. It's just not my style of comedy.

Watched a couple episodes of an Epix show called "Unprotected sets" that features up and coming comics doing roughly 20-25 minute sets with brief interview segments mixed in.

The 1st comic, Zainab Johnson, was really good. I liked her set a lot except for about a 2 minute lull midway through.

The 2nd one was not as good but still decent. Turned the 3rd one off halfway through mostly because by Red Dead 2 download finished, but he was markedly worse than the 1st 2.

Speaking of that format, I went through all of the Netflix versions, and I gotta day... Only 1 set was somewhat weak, the African lesbian’s. Cool chick but not that funny. The rest were very good. I was impressed. Haven’t checked out the newest series yet but will this weekend.

Also, Ron White’s latest is decent and Sandler’s was really really fun!!

Watched most of The Degenerates. I don’t think anyone killed. I thought Joey Diaz was funny but it could be because I root for him to do well. I expected Christina P to be a lot funnier but maybe because people seem to talk her up so much.

Just introduced my kids to Brian Regan. My 12-year old was extremely disappointed when the hour-long video was over. She told my wife all about it (my wife and I saw him at a club before we had kids, so she was quite familiar). She also like Jim Gaffigan. As you tell, I've exposed them to "clean" comics.

I have showed them some Mitch Hedberg, so of course some f-bombs have been in there, but they - as they should - think he's hilarious. Watching my 9-year old's brain process the jokes and then see the smile come across his face is great.

Joe Rogan: Strage Times

I'll give it 3/5, worth watching. Funniest Rogan special I've ever seen, I usually find his standup annoying.

Ron White: If You Quit Listening, I'll Shut Up

4/5 Love me some Ron White.

Kathleen Madigan: Madigan Again

3/5, I loled a few times. Her delivery sometimes sounds clunky to me.

Christina P: Mother Inferior

1/5. No.

Anthony Jeselnik: Thoughts And Prayers

1/5. First time I've seen Jeselnik. Half the show is a monologue about how cool and edgy and non-PC he is, or a lame meta-analysis of his own jokes. I think he's just trying to compensate for the actual jokes being completely unfunny.

She’s also married to Tom Segura, who had the 2 best specials on Netflix up till this year.

Brad Williams was my favourite in the degenerates. I hate Yamanika and didn't watch her part. Diaz was OK but and I don't remember Christina P at all 3 days later.

Being married to Tom is probably a big part of why you'd expect her to be funny (also probably why she got the special).

Christina's special just isn't that funny, while I wholeheartedly agree with your assessment of Tom, Completely Normal and Mostly Stories 2 of my all time favourite's.

I have to disagree. I can see how Jeselnik is not for everyone but I find him hilarious.

Christina P is really good on their podcast but her standup is kind of meh.

Just had Cristina P on for a few minutes, decided taking the trash out was better. Came back 3 minutes later and the wife had turned her off, said "that lady wasn't funny". So we agreed on something.

Jeselnik seems like he'd be a dick in real life though.

I'm going to agree that Christina P is not funny. Joey Diaz was solid but he seems funnier when he's not on stage.

Michelle Wolf's special "Nice Lady" is good if you're looking for a stand up special from a female comic. Same for Katherine Ryan's "In Trouble".
