Anybody buying tickets to Anthony Jeselnik's new fall tour dates? I purchased a couple to the Charleston, SC show yesterday, You can get them early by using the code JRVP.

Her name is Adrienne Iapalucci and her 20 mins on Netflix (few years old now) is one of the best on there. It's in the degenerates ssn 2.

Yes it was.

I tried to watch Ryan Sickler's special but just couldn't get into it. I know he's been around for a while but I don't think he's really ready for a 1hr special, yet.

Good to hear . Love Big Jay but was worried his style of comedy wouldn’t translate well to a special format.

It’s really good. Kyle Kinane’s latest, also on YouTube, is as well. YouTube seems to be where to get the best specials these days.

If you enjoy good crowd work like Big Jay, you need to check out Ian Bagg. His "Conversations" special on Prime is great too

Have not watched Louis CK's Live at the Dolby special yet, but several outtakes are on YouTube and they are hilarious. There's a 2 and a half minute bit about abortion that is just so good.

I checked that newer Nate recently and unfortunately agree that it isn't that good. I've tried watching it twice and wound up playing on my phone before changing it.

His use of mundane and boring situations as material doesn't bother me, but compared to his earlier material, there's less actual jokes in there about them. It feels the joke time is 70% spent just saying some vanilla **** about the situation. And some of the joke 30% are him just reacting to and pointing out the silliness of the situation, as opposed to something clever adding to it. IDK if that makes sense.

His earlier **** to me felt more fluid and with more variety. The joke/mundane ratio seemed much less out-of-whack and also more evenly distributed, too. Maybe I'll have to try it again and hope it picks up more.

Check Full Time Magic. Here's a clip from it. I find this hilarious.

Not sure if this has been posted before or not, since it was released two years ago, but Mark Normand's Out to Lunch special is on YouTube and it's freaking hilarious (and free as well!)

I feel the same about his comedy. He did a small European tour last month so I went to see him, but it was very poor. Feels like his heart isn't in it anymore. He did less than an hour, it was mostly downbeat commentary stuff with 0 energy. Disappointing.

On a positive note, I saw Tom Segura do a late show and he absolutely killed it. All the material is likely his new upcoming special, as I've never been to a venue with such a strict no-phones policy.

Tom Segura is incredibly consistent. I think he has 3 of the best 5 special on Netflix and his 4th, though not my favorite of his, a few friends say it’s their favorite of his. I’m glad I haven’t tried to get into his podcast though. I’d rather see his standup.

I just rewatched most of Jeselnik's first one "Thoughts & Prayers." Holy ****, it's still so hysterical. I wish he'd release another. "My uncle runs a summer camp for kids who are about to be molested."

At this point he says he's probably going to film it in Philadelphia during the second part of his tour next year. His "Bones and All" tour starts in September and ends sometime next year.

I have liked his previous stuff...this one seemed to just focus on his rehab and (kinda like Nate B's most recent) the material didn't seem to lead to a lot of laughs for me. Curious how others here feel about it.

I thought it was decent but the best bit on it he already did on SNL
