Seems that the Emotional Support Fish would be ideal for (2). Until he gets a taste of the chlorine, but it shouldn't be terribly difficult or expensive to replace an ESF.

I like the ESF idea. I think I'll get one. A fishbowl on the table would add some ambiance to almost any restaurant.

Reasonable accommodations need to be need.

The issue is if more than one fish would be allowed. The letter typically limits it to one emotional support animal. A school of fish may violate the spirit of the law.

Not to Scotland's leading golf club - though one can always have an alpaca or something for those little emergencies.

With females though the real problem is that after the first few months they require more emotional support than they give.

Yeah, that's where the spirit of the law gets violated.

They are worried about getting sued. Just like asking if that wheelchair is valid.

They also are concerned about commenting on an animal. You would never call a wheelchair cute.

One day, I want somebody to bring a Clydesdale on the plane saying that it's an emotional support animal. GOAT airplane story

Miniature horses are allowed on planes.

It is great that the duck finally got to feel like what it is like to fly.

Since things like this never get less crazy over time, at some point in the future we'll be on a plane wishing the person next to us had an emotional support Clydesdale instead of their emotional support vials of Spanish Flu virus.

I want to know how I can get an emotional support bottle of water so I can start bringing those through security again.

Oddly, I'm fine with an emotional support duck with little red booties and a Captain America diaper.

Strange that you use that term when this has nothing to do with animal rights. Instead it's all about the "rights" of human narcissists, who apparently have no concern for the feelings (phobias, allergies?) of the person seated next to them. We don't allow smokers on planes precisely because it affects other passengers, even though there could be a very real therapeutic "emotional support" component to having that cigarette available.

Or the rights and feelings of the animal who is obviously going to hate flying (not moving, depressurizing etc. etc.).

It's weird that someone (over the age of 10) wants one-way emotional support from an entity but they don't care about what's good for that entity at all.

I was sarcastically commenting on your weeping for humanity when we should be feeling bad for many of these animals. I imagine some cats have to feel emotionally hurt when they are on a plane. Not all animals are like Daniel the Duck that gets to experience flying for the first time and perhaps is happy.

The reason that animals are allowed to go on planes is also the remainder of the trip that owners need them for their emotional support needs. The plane is just part of the journey. But that does impact the "public" the most.

Let's get real. The reason that emotional support animals are allowed on planes is that air carriers fear the cost of litigation should they choose to ban them.
