Calling LBR to request one of his standard "pool of blood" posts.

My response was to the OP that started the thread by saying "RIP Charles Manson" as if he's some dude that deserves our support.

If it were up to me, once those prison doors were slammed shut, we would never had heard from him again. But it's 2017 and even a ****ed up lunatic from the 60's gets attention these days.

Yep the world is a better place without him, shame he never snuffed it years ago.

Nah I'd have no probs with Rader dying today either actually.

Well, he wasn't as bad as Hitler, or Franken, but he was still pretty bad.

I don't know if the right thing is to shout "burn in hell" or "mercy". I can understand both. Makes me think not necessary about the dude, but about life and death in general.

I can understand "mercy" in so far that I understand that some people are "morons".

Nobody can deny he was very good on South Park. In my mind that atoned for any previous crimes he may or may not have committed.

DZ, sup with you?

If you believe in Hell and Paradise or something similar, then mercy exactly like in christian religion. If you don't, then mercy in change of perspective through the death. What remains after the death?

And why the heck do you try to go again after other posters?

And I don't know..... the more infos on him I watch the more I believe that he was mentally not OK. I think it is more interesting to think about preventive measures of similar things in the future. I am trying to dig out a good docu about, how did he get the girls to follow him at all in the first place and then to commit this murders.

I once spit on LHO's grave when I was a kid (iirc, his grave had a simple marker, flush with the ground, that had only LHO on it. No dates). My aunt chastised me.

When you hate someone, that is a burden you carry. Not them.

He’s gone now. His debt has been paid.

Way back in the last century, in the semester before I started college, the guys on my floor in my dorm threw a Manson Christmas Party, and they advertised it in the campus newspaper, circulation 35,000. "Our Attendance Goal: 1000", and "Bring Your Own Farm Implements," were the taglines. On the day of the party, State and local police were called in to break it up before it got started.

So my first time away from home, I moved on to a floor with a reputation for harboring Manson cultists. The guys had also written a Christmas card to Charlie to celebrate the abortive occasion. "Merry Christmas Charlie, from all the boys at T_ House." Everyone had signed it.

And he wrote back. I read the missive from Manson to T_ House, once. I can't recall anything from it. I just remember that each sentence would seem to make sense on its own, but it would mean nothing within the context of its paragraph, and I would forget what he wrote at the beginning of each paragraph by the time I got to the end of it.

The whole Manson cult thing had almost died down by the end of my first semester, until one of our guys found himself late one night with a wicked nosebleed and a sudden bright idea. "Manson Loves You," he wrote, in blood, across three bathroom mirrors.

That brought in the State and local authorities again. No one told on the guy, but after that the rumors persisted about my floor for the rest of my time in school.

Anyways, **** Manson, and I'm glad he's dead.
