I left a UX machine a couple of weeks ago after hitting a dealt straight flush which I think gave the 10 lines all a 4x multiplier. I went back the next day and was excited that some moron was nice enough to leave me with a strong start, then the bartender informed me that I was said moron. I guess always check UX machines for multipliers if you’re looking to get an edge at the casino

Hunting multipliers is fun. Each game and denomination has its own multipliers.

Lol, wonder what their success rate is.

I think I witnessed a Postmates scame last weekend. I ordered a couple pizzas and shortly thereafter it showed a driver had accepted. Then the app showed a different driver a bit later. That second driver wound up calling me from the restaurant saying that he had been told the order had already been picked up. I never wound up getting the order.

So, what I suppose happened is the first driver accepted the order, and then later declined it (not sure how the app works from the driver side). He then presumably went to the restaurant saying that he was there to pick up the pizza for Postmates and just kept it.

Hi All,

I am concerned for a friend, she is married with two children. She received a package today from Walmart from a sender she doesn't know addressed to her two children, a board game. When she googled the phone number it is from it is on a bad buyer list with tons of reports from people who also received items they did not order. The phone number is the same, the extension changes and the name of the sender changes. I don't know how this person knows her address or that she has children. Any idea on the scam/motive behind this? The phone number of the "sender" is 346-307-9643.

I can't think of a motive, nefarious or otherwise.

People are weird. Isn't there a thread here where some guy gets a crazy drawing in the mail?

Online sellers will send unsolicited items from their store so they can use the recipients info to write fake reviews and prop up their seller rating. Are you sure it was actually sent by Walmart, and not one of the other random sellers who have items listed on Walmart's website?

The 2nd link on google actually has that phone number for a company, an online tshirt printing business. Website is less than 50 days old. Address on the website appears to be a house. Person who registered the domain is linked to about 100 other domains, mainly in Vietnamese

Linked to another website that has another home address on it that matches one that has received numerous complaints on bbb.org (obv lol, but at least its something) https://www.bbb.org/us/wv/buckhannon...-0282-92021247 - also in the online printing business it appears

---

Alright, so the number is owned by Amazon (most likely). They provide an anonymized number so that the seller doesn't get the real number of the recipient. If the number was called, you apparently get asked for the extension and then the ZIP. Once you input the ZIP, the call is connected to the correct party. More details here: https://sellercentral.amazon.com/for...-scam/671454/4

Lot of amazon marketplace sellers / FBAs complaining of receiving chargebacks as orders are not received also

Thanks for the replies, I will tell her what was found out. The delivery was definitely from Walmart, she called them and they confirmed it but said they couldn't give out any additional information on the buyer other than what was already on the package. But on that report it appears that a lot of these were shipped out from Amazon.

The truly creepy part is that they know her kids names. Whoever is doing this took the time to find out personal details, it is just so strange.

I'm leaning towards senile relative, but she probably looked into that already. If not, hopefully the kids aren't going to school and they're always going to be around anyways.

Don't know what the legislation is where you live but, in the UK the Data Protection Act prevents the merchant from giving any details about the sender. If there are any concerns she should speak to the police as they should have the power to bypass data protection legislation.

She did call the police and they advised her to keep an eye on her credit report but that was it.

As far as water goes... it tastes like water. It's less notable than flavored water.

My hulu subscription was up in a couple of days and I'm going to switch to something else for a month, so I canceled today so I remember to not get billed again, but the ****er stopped working immediately instead of on the next bill date. There was a pause subscription, but I didn't think I needed to bother with it. Maybe I was running on free time or something, but scam imo. Another similar thing was a patreon podcast I signed up for at the end of Jan. billed me then, and then billed me again feb 1, even bigger scam. imo

Obv I feel bad now, and I flew a little too close to the sun, but I never got caught. The employees that lord over the six or so self-scan machines are too busy daydreaming to care about what you're doing.
