Okay, I will rescind my first impression because, as I suspected, I ****ed the cotton up. Please excuse me as I am used to the Kayfun world and I did not know I needed to stuff cotton into the juice wells.

I think the juice well issue will resolve itself after a bit more trial and error, but the Goblin is not longer leaking. I'm running a .4 Ohm on a dual macro-coil 28G and it is wicking fine, but I sense it could be better since I get a few eye-melting dry hits here and there.

I do like the variable airflow feature, as it is wide-enough that you have to lung-hit it or small enough you can do a mouth-to-lung hit. I wish the airflow adjustment had some knurling on it, but it's not an utter pain to use, and yes, it will stay in place.

One extra touch I like is the adjustable brass pin even though I don't have a use for it.

The flavor is decent and the clouds are ok. I'm currently running it in the 5mil mode with the longer chimney, which is working okay. I think this device calls for a shorter drip tip with a wide bore, which I don't have at the moment. I'm using a long tip with a relatively wide bore.

It is an interesting device and I sense it will grow on me as time goes by and I figure out the proper resistance, wicking, and drip tip. I don't consider this a Kayfun Killer by any stretch, but for the price, it is a very nice piece. Definitely harder to use than a Kayfun or RBA.

Nice man, Wizard labs is the bomb. Sucks about the pg/vg, hopefully they sort it soon. DIY is awesome. I can't wait for my digi scale to come in, it's going to make the process so much easier and quicker.

BTW, I try to stick to Capellas now. TFA and Lorann's has been pretty hit or miss (I've tried like 30 TFA flavorings, and ~10 Lorann's). I just got another 35+ flavorings, mostly Capellas and all the CAP flavorings have been super dank.

760, you can always pick up some VG at a CVS or other pharmacy type store. I think it's usually in the beauty section(might be in the pharmacy section though). I don't use PG but I've heard they carry that in some craft stores

You can get PG at pharmacies as well. Usually it's not kept on the shelf, but if you ask they will sell it to you. If they want to know why, tell them your mom is making soap or something.

tried walgreens since it is close but they don't carry it in the store. Too lazy atm to drive to cvs

All Walgreens around me carries it. You have to find it yourself none of the idiots working there know where it is

Where I live, most places carry it in the skin care section. There will usually be plain VG and VG with rosewater. Do not buy the VG with rosewater.

Or hit up a farm supply store if you live out in the sticks.

After a few more days with the UD Goblin, I'm starting to get a better idea of what this thing is about.

After getting the cotton working, I haven't had any more leaking issues. I get a dry hit here and there, but that's probably a combination of having to much cotton in the juice wells and using high VG juice.

I can't say much about the flavor. I have to drop down to 3mg nic.

My only real complaint right now is that it takes a long time to fill up. For some reason, the juice gets stuck in the top bottom of the device when I'm filling it, and I have to wait for the juice to go down before I can add more. There does seem to be a sweet spot for filling it, but I haven't been able to nail it. Since the glass tank is press-fit on both ends, you certainly can't top-fill it.

This device is perfect for people who really like to fiddle with their devices.
-- You have two different modes, 3mL and 5mL. The 5mL mode has a longer chimney and slightly restricted airflow.
-- You can test this with just about any standard drip-tip, so you can use the drip tip to add or restrict airflow.
-- The cyclops-style airflow control has a full range of options, going from what you'd get from a cigalike all the way to what you'd get off an RBA. If you decide to vape without a drip-tip, oh my...
-- You can build a variety of dual-coils of any Ohm. I rebuilt my coil last night (I was drunk) and ended up with .5Ohm. I was trying for .8Ohm, but oh well. Definitely better for people who have a regulated device.

vs the Kayfun:
-- The Kayfun was far more maintenance for me, as it tended to leak and flood. I haven't had any leaking or flooding issues with the Goblin.
-- The wicking is probably better on the Goblin. When I tore apart my coils last night, the cotton and kanthal was surprisingly clean.
-- I haven't burned up any cotton in the Goblin, which was a common issue for me with the Kayfun.

I honestly don't know if I'd suggest this device or not. I mean, it is a good piece, well-made, and nice once you get it set up to your liking you can just leave it alone and go about your day, but getting there isn't as easy as I'd like it to be.

Time to upgrade my archaic setup. Haven't heard much buzz about this one, but I went ahead and ordered a "Heatvape Invader":

Can't find too much info on the net about it, but what there is seems to be overwhelmingly positive. It's a cheap 30w, 2x18650 in series, vv vw device. It has all kinds of integrated goodies such as a built in phone charger, flashlight, and onboard usb charger. Not crazy about the stupid looking logo, so I got the silver version where it's less noticible.

Also ordered a full size subtank and some Japanese cotton. Will post a review on everything once I get it and have used it for awhile.

Pretty excited about the invader. Currently still using Vamo for the last 3 years, so it should be a definite step up.

Why don't you think an e cig is a good solution?

Are you using enough nicotine in the e cigs? Tobacco flavored juices?

Some of my friends have tried 'champix' to get off cigarettes which I assume is the same thing different country your talking about. They all said In the initial weeks they had side affects like trouble sleeping/ crazy dreams, as well as trouble eating properly but after around 2 weeks they were doing well.

I'm thinking about getting an ecig myself could anyone recommend a decent entry level model I should look into or an online store? Preferably somewhere that ships to Aus.

I use a Shisha pen, is there anything out there that is better?

Also, can anyone recommend liquid that tastes like Mayfair Dark or Regal Filter in the UK? I've yet to find one, which is probably why I keep going back to the cigarettes.

I really want to quit and try again. I smoke a lot when drinking alcohol. Anyone else I have spoken to like that has found it hard to come across a decent pipe, and liquid..can anyone help?

Unfortunately most Tobacco e-liquids don't taste anything like tobacco.

Shisha pen is basically an Ego 650 + CE4 clearo, a reasonable starter device a couple years ago but fairly weak today. There is tons out there better, but it's hard to recommend since I am no longer familiar with the kit-type stuff.

I'd suggest scroll back up this thread looking for spoonfox posts, he runs an irl shop (a good one!) so knows what is good these days.

I use an IPV2 and a Kayfun Lite, even this is probably pretty noob to some. It certainly hits hard enough to satisfy when drinking though. If that's an issue perhaps bump up the nicotine level, but with a decent setup that's really not necessary - I started as strong as you can get, and now use at about 4mg or so (very low)

One of my coworkers decided to jump on the vaping train. Congrats to him and he's happy as a lark, but he bought an SVD and a Kanger TS3 or something like that. I told him congrats, but return that ****.

The SVD button is already doing the SVD button thing after a week of light use. sheesh.

I'd suggest getting Virgin Vapor Best Damn Tobacco. It's legit tobacco taste.

Not sure how US -> UK works. If all else fails, find RY4 flavors, which is sort of tobacco flavored but not overkill.

Hey fellas. Currently running a XPro M50 with an Aspire Atlantis. I love it but looking to upgrade on the tank. I want to take two tanks so I can switch back and forth..

Any good suggestions for an upgrade? My Modbox goes up to 50W.

Thanks!

Oh and anyone here like Nicoticket juice? I read a lot of good reviews but you never know with reviews, or at least I haven't had good history.

So far my favorite juice is the cereal killer from 9 South

Damn you didn't hold back. I just ordered all my diy stuff for the first time and only got about 10-11 flavors.

damn, I got TFA because of some recipes I found.

Do you have the excel calculator for mixing by weight? If not let me know and i'll try to google docs share it or something

Leave an update with recipes you've tried and whether they were successful or not.

I think a pretty well confirmed starter kit now is an istick/mvp and atlantis? Can't remember tanks, I started out with mini protanks too. Not too advanced either. Ditched the mech and using mvp 20watt with kayfun at 14W and magma at 17 (don't think I reported back but single coil on it has been amazing.

Is cereal killer the fruit loop flavored one? Heard a ton about these cereal vapes but never tried, this will be my first diy recipe when everything comes.

So I was pretty stupid. I have a kayfun lite v2+ clone. I've had it for close to a year with no problems. A couple days ago it was acting funny, wouldn't read on my mod. I had just been using my magma on it and realized that the screw on the bottom inside the 510 connector seeemed to come out a little more on my magma than kayfun, so figured I'd just adjust it. Wouldn't read and after adjusting it about 5 times it worked.

Today went to change wick and it wouldn't read a resistance no matter what I did with it. So I thought maybe coil was old/loose or something. Rinsed it out and made a new coil. Then I realized deck was all screwy. Positive and negative posts were crooked, not lined up like usual. Realized what I thought was just adjusting the 510 connection messed something up with the deck.

Did I brake it or is there something I can do. I adjusted it so they weren't touching and still wouldn't read a resistance. Also the positive terminal (I believe, one with insulator under it) seems to be loose no matter what I do.

Please Help

I don't have the V2, but I do have the v4. It looks similar from what you posted. That entire build deck comes apart. There should be a screw, probably under the 510 connector, that holds the part with the insulator underneath together. My guess is that your screw for that piece is loose and not making correct contact. Hope that helps
