The lava is the one i recommended. I have much less leaking with it and huge clouds of vapor

The first one is a 510, the second a 306 (which are 510-thread compatible, but need a different drip-tip / cart)

Both of those would be fine for your inferno, it does say at the bottom of their description to use only with an inferno)

Alright! Today is DAY 6 of no "analog" smoking! A while back I bought an e-cig from some online ad for like $5. I tried it but could not get past the taste of the vapor. So I continued smoking for a month or so. Here in NY, cigarettes are $12 a pack believe it or not. So about a week ago I just quit and used the cheap ecig.

Just ordered my starter kit from Cignot. Looks like a new type of device - Joye eGo-T - eGo Tank Type B
https://www.cignot.com/product_p/kit-ebt-all.htm

I have very little understanding of these devices, despite having done some research on the forums. The review thread for this device is here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/for...zers-here.html

That's the good thing about the poorly made, cheap E cigs: they at least expose people to the idea and then, hopefully (like you), they research more and buy the better products that are out there. This device should be fine for you. I assume you bought the E liquid from the same site? If you don't like the taste/vapor, there are many many other sites with great tasting juice with any flavor imaginable so you WILL be able to find one you like. Also, If you find that you are not getting enough flavor or vapor from your device, I'm sure you can buy some LOW RESISTENCE atomizers to use with your device, they basically increase the current and give you a stronger hit.

Nice work so far and good luck with the new device! If you've gone 6 days without an analog with the crappy device, you will be in heaven when the new one comes.

So I've been using my V4L ecig about a week now and Im loving it. Threw all my analogs away once i started using it.

I see a lot of people buy juice/carts from a lot of various sites, but I'm wondering if there are any real advantages.

If I don;t care about money at all, am I missing out by just buying carts/juice from V4L? They seem to have enough flavors to keep me happy. Is there better quality stuff elsewhere? tried reading all of the thread, and Im sure I missed it somewhere
04-23-2011 , 07:09 PM
any people from the uk using e-cigs itt? what brands are you using?
04-23-2011 , 07:18 PM
yeah me

I've posted about most stuff I've used itt, currently running a a pair of RiVa steel batteries with CE2 r4 Clearomizer XL cartos, supplied by cloud9vaping and juice from a 500ml tub from Totally Wicked, cheapest good juice I've found lately but nowhere near the bargains available to our American posters.

I received my Ego-T yesterday and have been vaping a tobacco flavored juice. I'm really pleased that this device works the way it does, because it means that I'm likely to stay off of cigarettes for good. I'm not really blown away by the flavor of this "marlboro" liquid. I'm hoping that other liquids provide a more enjoyable vape.

So the tanks on this pv holds 2ml. I'm almost done with the tank. Stupid question - When it's done, do I have to wash it out? Can it be reused? I have 4 more prefilled tanks, but they all have the same liquid. I have a bunch of other flavors arriving in the mail soon via bluemist, so I'm eager to try them. Can I just drip the new liquid into the used tank via the punctured hole and then attach it to the atty without it spilling? Or do I need to purchase blank tanks?
04-23-2011 , 08:15 PM
you can unclip the whole top of a tank (the part with the hole in it). get a thumb nail under the side, there's a couple of points for this purpose where there's a little overhang - it comes off quite easy. Then you can just fill it up real easy. dripping through the hole is tricky, it won't go in properly.

wash it out if you like, probably not worth the bother if you're refilling with more of the same but if going to another flavour may as well.

If you are interested in longer battery life, better throat hit, more vapor, aesthetics, there are devices that perform much better. Juice flavor is VERY subjective but I recommend trying several different companies to find one that you like the best. One of the biggest drawbacks of the V4L products is the very short battery life and it being on the low end of the voltage scale (low voltage = less vapor and throat hit, generally)

The tobacco industries HAVE to be crapping their pants over these. In the last month every single close friend or relative I have that smokes is committing to e-cigs. Just tonight I put in a $600 order, with about $500 of it hardware for friends and family, and the other $100 in juice making supplies to sell said friends and family.

If this kind of expansion is typical, I'd say the tobacco industry could be really hurting in just a few years. I'm a pretty persuasive advocate since my setup works great, I have some great flavours, and I know this stuff cold. I'm sure I'm not the only crusader out there that's recruiting everyone they know.

I'm kind of glad I started vaping when I did, I think even a year ago the technology would have been disappointing enough to put me off of it.

I wish I had the business acumen to develop my own line of vaping devices and open up a retail store here in Manhattan. Smoking is soon going to be illegal apparently even on sidewalks.

The one problem with buying one of these online is that it's hard to understand how they work without having one to play with. Plus you don't even know if you're going to like it until you actually buy one. I'm sure if people could walk in a store and test out a mid/high end pv, these things would sell like hotcakes. The vast majority of smokers don't even know these exist, though they may have heard of those cheap ones I started out with. They actually sell them in the 7-11. I couldn't have quit smoking with one of those. But this ego-T is awesome. I can't imagine putting this down and going back to tobacco.

The only problem I can see with opening an E cig store would be that, without much notice, any state could make them illegal. Then after all that startup capital, you're SOL.

This.

I have only been vaping for 3 weeks and I have converted 6 people so far without even trying. All of them bought Riva 510's at my suggestion. All of them have not had a real cigarette since they got the device. I smoked 1.5 packs (min) per day and easily threw out my remaining couple of packs of smokes the day I got my Riva. I have not smoked since.

Banning this device would be a criminal act.

Totally agree. Here in Canada, health Canada officials have been actively shutting down Canadian suppliers of e-juice and seizing e-cig supplies as they come across the border. I'm lucky as I'm fairly handy and can make all my own juice and hardware, but for the vast majority of people they have no option but to go back to smoking. Criminal is a great word for these actions.

Anyone interested in a concise writeup on the fundamentals of vaping geared towards the uninitiated, PM me your email address and I'll forward to you the email I've been sending to all my friends/family. It has good info, but the specific links to suppliers etc. are slanted to Canadians so the links I provide might not apply to you. Feel free to edit it however you see fit to re-send to your people.

I ordered a kit from cignot about 1 or 2 years ago. Fast delivery, great product, very nice (ladies?) run it. You'll love e-cigs.

I got an assortment of different juices from http://myfreedomsmokes.com/

another great and small company.

This is awesome! It's great that this thread is passing the word to (hopefully EX) smokers. This thread stopped me from smoking over a year ago and I'm thrilled that it is helping others in the same way. IMHO, part of being a vaper is passing the word on to others that might not know about these things. Whether just informing them about the technology or, as a few posters above have done, giving them E cigs, we should be proud of helping people realize that there is a MUCH healthier alternative. This stuff potentially saves live people!

Plus, I enjoy my new hobby and fiddling with all the possibilities WAY more than I ever did enjoy smoking. As I currently am vaping Avejuice's C&D on my Provari at 4.5 volts sitting next to my non-smoking girlfriend and she isn't wincing at every puff, I thank God that I discovered these things!

Great job to everyone that has contributed to this thread and, please, PAY IT FROWARD and continue to pass the word on.

.
I had mine at my Dads who has always been an avid "WHY DO YOU SMOKE THOSE DAMN THINGS?!?!?" and he was actually approving of my ecig once I explained how it worked and eased his concern it was some sort of crack device

If I have quit cigarettes completely, is it worth trying this out? A cigarette used to provide me some good quiet thinking time at the balcony.

I've been having a bit of trouble with one of my atomizers, so I went to the forum for instructions on cleaning and it looks to be a pain in the rear. But there is an easy way if you buy an ultrasonic jewelry cleaner. The thread on this topic is http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/for...est-way-5.html. Apparently this restores the atty to new.

Got a nice discount at http://www.gourmetvapor.com/. The discount code is gv30 and it's good until Tuesday at midnight. I got a bunch of liquids at $2.77 for 5ml.

im looking for something to use at the poker table, and to use whilst grinding online.
any recommendations? for the table i'm looking for something that is pretty small (and hopefully a good battery). i was thinking of a vapemate for at home.

I think you would definitely enjoy it, but I can't imagine anyone saying that it's a good idea to start if you've gotten yourself out from under this addiction.

Attys are finicky. The ultrasonic cleaning is one thing I haven't tried yet. I have tried blowing them out, dry burning, soaking them in isopropyl alcohol, soaking them in boiling hot water, and running them under hot tap water. I use all of these methods and sometimes a combo of a few of them.

My vote is for the Riva 510. The battery lasts me 6-10 hours depending on useage, and sometime a full day.

Riva 510 - They have a quick turnover on these so they are often running out of stock. The do replenish them regularly though. The website does show how many of each color is in stock so at least you can see what's available without clicking tons of links only to learn it's out of stock.

This site in general has a large variety of hardware and juices at great prices. Click on the 20% off banner on the upper left of the page and it will auto reduce the listed prices. These juices aren't among the best out there, but they're pretty cheap. 5ml for 2.39 all day every day is excellent for samplers. If you're buying anything from there, you might as well try a few flavors.

I haven't smoked in over 2 months. I got my first PV in the mail and quit smoking almost immediately. A lot of the info I was looking for was from this thread so thanks to everyone who has contributed. If anyone has questions just keep posting and I'll do my best to help.

If you're off the nicotine, stay off it. You can get a E cig and vape ZERO nicotine juice and still enjoy the flavor/experience. Many do. Just about every site that offers juice has zero nicotine juice available.

I don't see why not. Vaping nicotine liquids shouldn't be a problem, unless nicotine is bad for you. Gives you a nice buzz in the morning with a coffee.

I'm really blown away with my ego-T tank system. I was thinking of buying some more e-cig devices just cuz I enjoy vaping so much, but after a few days with my ego-T, I think I'm set. Just put in an order for some low-res atomizers, which should improve things a bit.

I've now quit smoking for 2 weeks, and with the ego-T, going back to analogs hasn't even crossed my mind. If vaping doesn't damage my lungs, then it's a great new hobby to take up. I've always loved smoking, but there are so many downsides that it's not an option any longer.

Skimmed through the thread so apologies if it's been asked already...

Can you put mary jane in these e-cigarettes? And would any brand be better than the others for this endeavor?
