For some reason, the fact that she could be SO wrong but so insistent totally bothered me...we ended up breaking up like a week later and I would say things were never the same after this argument. I guess I'm a huge nit and should lighten up.

I know a girl exactly like this. I would be dating her if it wasn't for the fact that A. she made ridiculous assertions B. she would defend them till the end and take the arguments personally.

My friend used to work in McDonalds when he was 16 (beat i know, but he's pretty successful now) and told one of his coworkers that the oven was 3 times hotter than the sun. The guy bought it hook, line and sinker, and he's even been heard passing on the info.

I know this isn't exactly what OP asked for, but it's the best dumb people story I have.

when i was in college i lived in the bronx and this girl i was ****ing lived in staten island
neither one of us drove and its about a 2 hour trip each way by public tranportation
she always came to my place to **** and one day asked why she was always the one who had to make the effort of traveling and i told her it was because its faster to get from si to the bronx than the other way around
about 3 months later she finally questioned the validity of this

Had a NL home poker game going, and a girl I had been dating for about a week said she wanted to play. I asked her if she knew how and she said, "Yes". My buddy is heads up with her and the flop came 889 turn 10 river 2. My buddy turns over 76 for a straight and this girl says you got me, I got two pair. As she is about to muck her hand facedown I ask her if she had A9 or A10 just to get a idea what she was playing. She says I have to black eights. I laugh yeah right, she turns her hand over before she mucks it and sure enough to black 8's for two pair. I never laughed so hard.

This one person in my bed kept insisting that marinade should be pronounced with a long "a" like lemonade. I used to think that person was of above average intelligence, but they persisted until we ended up on the internet to resolve the problem.

A friend and I are out with two girls we met not long before, trying to get dinner plans together one of them asks me what type of food I like. I tell her I'm not too picky, Italian, Mexican, whatever. Then she asks my friend, who says he likes all types of ethnic food. She asked him what country ethnic is and where in the world it is located.

She had some other really "wtf?" type of statements, but it was ten years ago so that's the only one I remember.
