I recently got into the drone game. I look forward each day to fly this thing around.

This first drone I bought into for about $15 is a device classified as a "Whoop"

The FuriBee F36. (bought it from gearbest but the shipping time was... weeks for non upgraded shipping.)

From reviews of similar Drones in the same class, the FuriBee F36 is the best drone for use inside a home... for beginners/crashing without destruction of drone/property. I've "crashed" more times than I care to count, easy/safe to fly indoors.

Decent review of the FuriBee F36:

I have a dog and an issue was crashing (upside down),hitting the throttle which in turn would twist dog hair under the props, resulting in the props needed to be cleared from the dog hair, I should probably vacuum more. The props are easily removed (simply pulled up)/cleared of the hair, set props back on after clearing the obsturction, back to flying.

It has a flight time of about 5 minutes, with about 30-40 min to recharge the battery. The battery is easily swapped out, so if you buy multiple of the compatible batteries you can easily have longer flight sessions with the F36. I personally don't mind flying around for 5 min, charging for 30 min, and picking it back up a few hours later for another 5 min flight session. It feels like a very good first time/training drone.

I've only had it for a couple weeks and now that I have a handle on it, I have so much more fun flying it outdoors, and I feel I'm ready to step up to a different drone level.

My brother purchased a DJI Mavick Air for aerial photography/commercial purposes and I look forward to learning more about that.

I very much suggest the FuriBee F36 for anyone interested in starting/trying/getting a basic feel out of Quad Copter Drone flight experience. For under $20 well worth it. Very fun.

This thread is intended for all things drone related and I'm well aware there are some amazing Drone related things above my current lol F36 abilities...

I don't believe a thread on hobby type drones has been made, if there is already, mods feel free to merge this post/delete this thread.

I look forward to getting into FPV (First Person View) flying, it's kind of hard to find youtube videos that are short/quick/not annoying so this is a video I found of FPV flight around a Windmill to demonstrate something beyond my current ability.

I selected a video (not mine) with no voice/like/subscribe/comment requests, just straight flight FPV footage.

FPV 250 mm racers are fun. It takes a gamer’s touch to not instantly **** up though. I’m not a gamer but used to fly the choppers in Battlefield a lot and into very similar (although the racer is much more difficult).

Have you seen the drone racing on tv? They go through a fairly elaborate course in a big warehouse sized building, steering mostly/only by camera. It was ridiculous how fast they go through the course while avoiding crashing into each other.

I watch that occasionally while whatever i'm actually watching is on break. Looks really fun, like an irl video game.

Picked up a FuriBee F36 and it's a blast. However, I'm having a lot of trouble controlling it so far. I'm not sure if I just need more practice or I'm doing something wrong. When I push the right controller to the right it goes left, etc. Does the controller need to be paired in a certain way? The instructions were clearly written by a non-English speaker. Thanks in advance.

Mine can do flips, too, but I haven't figured out how yet.

An example of the included English instructions: "Though this switch will adjust the sensitivity of the aircraft the greater the sensitivity is, the faster the micro-four-axis will response and it will be slower on the contrary."

dji is probably going to announce the mavic pro 2 in a month and i’m interested in seeing features/price

the mavic air looks like it’s got better sensor technology than the mavic pro platinum, and the pro platinum is almost the same as the mavic pro in that they use this occusync for the fpv instead of wifi which the air uses. i’ve got a phantom 2 which uses wifi and i’d like to jump on the newer tech so that’s the only thing keeping me from getting the mavic air

i also want to get in on this vr goggles + drone thing

I'm thinking of buying my wife a drone + camera/video recorder for her birthday (she is super into taking pictures/videos.

I recognize that dji makes the best ones, but they're fairly expensive at ~$500 and I was hoping to buy something at less than <$150. I figure we can use this as our test set and then once we get better with flying/filming, I figure I can buy the dji ones.

Does anyone have any recommendations in that price range?

I'll probably buy the Furibee F36 as well since it looks really fun.

I was always fascinated with Tiny Whoops, but like the complete kits with goggles, cameras, etc. were like $500+. I could never justify myself spending that.

I want a FuriBee F36 with a camera (but I don't think I'm handy enough to attach one)

I was gonna give my brother-in-law a F36 with a bunch of batteries. But he's a dick, so I kept it. Fun as hell. 😁

Now to throw a bunch of moneys into this. 😂😂
