usually contacts to work, but glasses at home. Just too lazy to put my contacts in on the weekends unless I'm going out, and even then sometimes I go the glasses route.

I failed my vision exam when i got my driver's license at 16 so i had to get glasses to drive. I still wear my glasses only when i drive. I should probably wear them all the time but i don't. I tried contacts in high school but they drove me absolutely crazy, that only lasted about a month. Maybe i'll give them another shot in the near future.

Maybe, but also, self-selection ITT.

Glasses > 90% of the time. I did buy sunglasses before a summer trip to the Canadian Rockies, thinking that I'd be attempting to fly fish and would also be looking at glaciers...I ended up wearing contacts and sunglasses for virtually the entire trip. Time and Central Serous Retinopathy have my prescription pretty out of date right now. I need to get an exam once my vision is completely cleared up.

hmm only 1/3rd of people naturally have good sight? wow. I thought I was like most people who stayed their whole life 20/20, I guess I was wrong.

This poll is like extremely rigged though. Not only is it being done on a poker forums where a vast majority of us spend most of our time staring at a computer screen which deteriorates our vision, but also because people that wear glasses are just more likely to click on the thread title than non-glasses wearers.

Not one iota. My vision was put to 20/15 and hasn't gotten any worse in any way. Agree with the other poster - if you're thinking of doing it, do it.

No astigmatism, but I have to use reading glasses for grinding now (and reading, obv). If I don't wear them, by the end of my session I can't make out any of the bets... terrifying.

I don't know how you truly visually impaired people deal. I couldn't find my reading glasses one night for 15 minutes near the end of a session, and It was so ****ing hard to make out the bets. Losing your senses scares the **** out of me.

Doesn't wearing stuff 24x7 for days at a time greatly increase your chance of eye infection? Just doesn't seem healthy, regardless of how superawesomeo the new technology is.

Also, I wear both contacts and glasses but since my glasses just broke (again) it's contacts only for now.

Glasses look great on a lot of people. If you dress confidently, you should consider frames similar to the ones displayed in Mad Men.

I wear them. Tried to get contacts last year but the lady at the office was rushing me and being a total b*tch. I was learning how to take my contacts out and she wouldn't let me leave the office until I took them out. I couldn't do it and she kept rushing me so I had her take them out and I just left.

Touching my eyeball is really gross and un-natural. She was acting like it should be totally standard to push on your eyeball. ****ing bitch. **** her. She was fat, too.

The first time that I was practicing to put in contacts and take them out, I was sooo frustrated. I was about 14 at the time, and it HONESTLY and literally took me 1.5 hrs to put two of them in. It's so unnatural, and everytime my eye would see a finger coming at it, it would just shut automatically.

It didn't take me long to get used to taking them in and out though (that's what she said), and now I can even do it without a mirror sometimes.

No she literally gave me like 5 minutes of encouragement, then basically began degrading me trying to make me sound like less of a man for not wanting to jam my finger into my eyeball. I should have just walked out with them still in. lol.

I've been using contacts for 1,5 years now.

Took me like 30 minutes to take them out the first time.
Putting them in went without problem at the second try though.

I wear both as well.

Usually wear contacts all day and remove them as soon as I get home and use glasses if needed. But my prescription is only -1.25 so I don't really need them.

no angle, i think it's a legit topic in the new oot and one of interest to glasses wearers. and if i hadn't read this thread, i probably would not have learned that you could find good deals for frames online.
