As long as you have the receipt (had mine in e-mail, since I ordered online), it's an easy process. Just have to wait a while.
At the same time I had that claim filed, my other big TV started going bad - a shadow had appeared on the screen. I bought it four years ago, but it was the one thing I've ever bought an extended warranty for ($60 to extend it to five years through Costco). I had already filed a claim once when the picture went out and they replaced the main board.
This time, they sent me a new TV. It's not top of the line, but it's better than the one I had, except that it only has 2 HDMI inputs.
And the broken one still technically works, so I may see if I can fit it in my home office (probably not).
