Your buds have a max THCA content of probably about 20% (give or take a little). Since they're old, I'd consider this to err on the low side since THCA degrades to CBN over time, slowly.
THCA to THC decarboxylates at .877%
So you have incoming weight * .2 *.877 = 175mg/g of input material. That's probably discounted a little bit for efficacy of extraction, call it 100 mg/g, which would then be diluted by how many grams of medium you have.
For examples sake, you have 1 oz of material = 28 g = 2800 mg THC per the calculation above, into 1 cup coconut oil (216 g) = 13mg/g, meaning a tablespoon (35g) would clock in at a whopping 455mg THC. Not to be trifled with.
