I listened to a couple Fishbone songs ages ago. Reading about them now I get the impression they're eclectic in a Sublime type of way, which is great because I love most genres of music. Will check them out when there is time.

I saw Fishbone open/post-show for Jane's Addiction at the Brooklyn Bowl - LV 6-8 years ago. A top-5 concert experience, and it probably wasn't just the 'shrooms.

Decades ago, they had a minor hit with Party At Ground Zero, and their stuff now doesn't sound anything like that.

I'd go see them (just about anyone, now, right?) again.

Dispensary pricing is so horrid. A rec place recently opened near me so I checked out their site and they are selling .5g carts for $60 a pop. Lol no. Just got back from my guy who gave me a buy-4-get-one-free of 1g carts. So 5 1g carts for $240 and he threw in 1g of Durban Haze concentrate because I'm a righteous dude.

That would be over 600 at dispensary prices

What DC lacks in quality, they make up in pricing. It's funny how the weed culture on the west coast and the east coast is completely different. Legal weed is a very new thing here. It feels like when i was a teenager in the late 90s, visiting my cousins in cali, hearing about the "weed store" and seeing the packaging looking like cartoony, copyright infringement branding. The east coast Gray Market scene like DC, where it's legalized, but no mandatory lab testing leads to a lot of counterfeiting and sometimes outright rip offs. I've found 2... Out of dozens of delivery services that always deliver the GOODS for a low price for what would be considered "dispensary weed".

There's a huge upcharge on what people here call "Rapper Weed". Which essentially is high THC% weed, repackaged in "branded" mylar bags that you can find on Amazon and Ali Express. It'll sell for $75-80 for an 8th and is totally not worth it. In some ways it's the best thing and the worst thing that's ever happened to weed in DC. I pay $140 sometimes $130 for good quality ounces, or $100 for a 1/2 oz of "exotic" strains.

I miss being able to just goto my barber shop, give the guy in the back $40 and he gave you a fist full of midgrade in a grocery bag.

I found an awesome YouTube channel called Timeline, and it has tons of cool history docs. I watched one about a volcanic eruption in Indonesia, (Krakatoa) that wiped out much of the world population in 535 ad. They said the energy of the blast was the equivalent of roughly 2 ****ing billion Hiroshima explosions.

What's really crazy, is yeah that sounds like something of ancient history. Civilizations crumbling. But the ****ing Earth doesn't care that we're technologically advanced. An eruption of that magnitude WILL happen again some day.

There is one in Wyoming, a caldera, they estimate has popped 3 times over the 2 million years or so, each time wiping out life across North America.
