there is a brand Mfused (which i know is at ikes) that has full gram carts for $36 that run into the 90%'s in purity. The pricing of concentrates really makes me feel like the potency ratings are just total BS

so long as you get enough in you, generally 3 hits if its just the powder on some flower. It tastes like what i would imagine smoking pvc would taste like.

I found that turning it to freebase is very effective and just one big hit has been enough

Just a random question, anyone here who regularly smoke low THC / high CBD strains?

yeah I'd say an ounce is heavy smoker territory. I generally smoke 2-3 ounces a month, but when I use my volcano I can cut that in half and still get just as high and vape just as often as I would've smoked. I love it

Anyone have new suggestions for portable vapes for flower? I gotta switch back. ... would like to be able to charge via USB, which I know Pax can do, but I've had ****ty experience with the last couple of their vaporizers I bought.

I have a Grasshopper. You have to learn how to use it a bit (like it says it's ready to draw before it really is) but it's a solid product. Pretty sure it was best on market when I bought it but that was like 2-3 years ago.

One of its main advantages is discretion, it's designed to look like a pen.

Edit: I will say the charger didn't work out of the box and they wanted me to return the entire unit to fix it, I was like **** that and bought an external charger which fits the battery. It's a bit worse because I can't use and charge simultaneously. Also the battery is proprietary so you can't just buy a spare at a supermarket.

Just watched a review. Interesting, I'd never heard of this before ...that's a lot of caveats in your post though, and the review was very positive but also mentioned some "but ..."

I like the Pax, but had a couple where the on/off mechanism seemed to break or become stuck.

Have you used the Pax and how does it compare to the Grasshopper?

I haven't. The Grasshopper is well engineered, it's really just a matter of watching a video on how to use or potential problems or whatever before jumping in. The problem is there's no digital readouts or anything, there's a single LED indicator (but two different colors and can flicker and stuff) to tell you what's going on. If it says it's ready to draw but really isn't and you draw, it will be unable to keep up, and when that happens its indistinguishable from when the battery is failing. So that can be frustrating, when you're not experienced enough to tell.

I don't want to turn you off it, I'm enumerating everything that annoys me about it because it works so well in every other respect. I'm happy with it. And like I said, it's engineered for discretion, which was important to me living in a non-legal jurisdiction.

Quick anecdote about how unobtrusive it is: went to a concert with a friend and some other people, was having a beer in a pub beforehand. Said to my friend "hey, want to see my new pen?" and gave him the Grasshopper. He looked it over and gave it back to me with a bemused look. Later when I was using it he was like ohhh, wait, is that not actually a pen? So it had him fooled even when he was primed to think something weird was going on.

How much flower does it hold?

I've been looking at Megatoke as well, just because it keeps popping up in my IG feed. ... Goddamn I hate spending that much money on a vape but it's probably a good investment for my lungs and how much weed I smoke using a bong.
