So .... The flooding which has made my weed guy go AWOL also forced the Phish concert cancellation, so maybe the area will be, er ... flooded with drugs. ...

So yesterday I took my car to the mechanic for an inspection and didn't smoke in the AM, worked in town all day, came home and smoked a few bowls ... WHOA. HEY. SUPER WEED.

Wednesday I bought a 1/2 oz of the worst buds I've smoked in awhile. I should have known the deal was too good to be true at $85 for the 1/2, but it was the Sour Patch Kiss strain which is a 60/40 hybrid that usually tests at 30%+thc. My GF and I smoked 4 back to back blunts last night just to feel something. I'm team Indica usually, but I do enjoy hybrids like Blue Dream, GSC, and even Sativa's like Pineapple Express & Jack Herer. I tried to switch it up a bit and got burned. Lesson learned: Smoke what you know.

I'm going to hit up my hash connect tonight and go deep into the abyss.

Its odd that I dont keep track of which strain of concentrate Im currently researching. When I buy, I browse the online menu and select whatever seems like good THC/$ ratio. And then when they get home I cut the package open and throw it in the trash. I dont know what my current stuff is called, which sucks because its been fire for me and the lady consistently for 3 days.


Yesterday I got a cartridge of 97% watermelon distillate. It tastes just like watermelon, really enjoyable. Going to the In This Moment concert tonight where I imagine it will come in handy.

I weighed out about 10.5 of the initial 14g. I may just concentrate this into about 6oz of coconut oil which should yield close to 4 when done and make some edibles. Worst case scenario, I have tasty cookies for a weekend. Does anyone have good links or a recipe for a good coconut oil? I have yet to fail on 5/5 attempts but I want to get the most out of this suspect batch of buds.

Do the dispensaries you guys go to have small glass jars with small amounts of every strain on sale out on the counter for customers to inspect? Pretty much all the ones here do, you can open them up and smell them and some places even have large microscopes that weed nerds peer through.

What's the worst weed you guys have seen lately?

I pretty much never look into strains because my dealer only has one at a time. But all of it is pretty good. It's been a while since I got anything "bad," if I ever really have. Down in Costa Rica once I bought some dirt weed, THAT **** was nasty but it still worked. And the next day I found better bud, anyway.

But there are differences. Last time I bought from him, the bud seemed dense and fresh and sticky. This is more crumbly ... but it was slightly cheaper than the better stuff. And I'm not even sure any of that is indicative of quality.

Maybe weed is just so easy to grow that it's all pretty good?

I've been doing 50mg (1/5 of a 250mg chocolate bar)(Haze & Main) before my local weekend donkament. By the start of level 3 (just over 40 min after consuming) I'm flying high, but for only about one level. I'll usually back it up with another 50mg, or hit the pen at break.

Results have been 'meh' in the tournaments (no worse then normal), but my attitude is greatly improved!

LMAO great topic. I was in Nassau, Bahamas 10 years ago for an epic week as there was spring breakers at our hotel. Me and my buddy quickly made friends with these Bahamian locals across the street from our hotel on the beach. They had a shack set up "renting chairs" but there was just a stack of dirty beach chairs, maybe 6 locked up with a chain and 5 of these locals who were the funniest, most amazing dudes. The main guy "Tyrone" was telling us how he had pounds and pounds buried all over the beach. He offered us as much as we wanted during that week. He would literally leave the shack, go dig a hole about 50 yards or so away then come back with these almost Doo Doo brown buds that at the time got us high but in retrospect was the worst weed I ever had. Like the laugh for 5 minutes then be completely sober. Lucky for us we didn't spend a dime in 4 days on that dirt cause we brought him so many customers. Great story..... horrible weed!
