I'm curious if any of our resident fake lawyers are knowledgeable in car insurance issues. My car was ****ed, no idea where it is. What happened is I was traveling in the center lane through Snoqualmie Pass behind a semi. There was snow all over the banks, but the roads were clear. I switch over to the right lane, where much to my surprise there is a semi stopped in the lane/shoulder, and the road is not clear behind it. My brakes lock up and we skid straight up its ass. Surreal couple second let me tell you.
Not sure how to proceed there.
I’m no expert, so let me say some obvious things. Notify your auto insurer quickly. Get a copy of the police report. Write down everything you remember about what happened, including speed etc.
Remember that anything you post here may ultimately be discoverable if there ends up being a fight. I imagine that’s possible, given that the semi you hit sounds as though it was parked partially in a traffic lane. Such a fight can often be between insurance companies, though, with no actual impact on you. Any idea if the semi driver was hurt?
Your 2p2 handle is oddly appropriate.
